30-6 Phoenix !

Phoenix wins 30-6 over Miami in BB. Tommy Kennedy shot lights out. With Scott Frost leading this team with excellent coaching. They truly are a powerful team on a mission. Tommy never hesitated to listen to Scott's shot selection and pocketed ball after ball. Manny had a length of the table masse shot executed perfectly to help close out the match.

On a length of the table shot, TK was nearly froze on the rail. He was shooting purple. He could only see the edge of the ball. Scott calmly asks TK can you see it. TK says yes. Scotts says just roll it in. TK hits it perfect and cuts it in. If he misses he would have been safe. Good shot TK, and a great coaching Scott. I had trouble getting the stream, Got it worked out over the phone with a very nice lady named Kim from BB.

Very exciting and fun to watch. Hey Parica, You need to talk a little less ! It is going to be an exciting season. Can't wait to see Earl Sunday. Should be a classic. Good Nite and Good Luck !

At one time or another, Jay has to become professional and stop being a hater. No one in their right mind can say these matches aren't the best pool anyone has ever viewed! Oh my God. The problem with this game it is so far superior to 9 ball and 10 ball, these old dogs are crapping themselves! Clean up your mess and sit down Jay and watch these great matches! I bet Shane and Dechaine are crying in their cornflakes every morning. Archer warned them not to miss making history! I hope they never play in a real league ever again.:grin-square:

It is time for Larry to fire Nathan and bring in someone who gets the job done. JUSTIN!

Shane actually just left my house minutes ago, heading to Tunica. He has absolutely zero interest in being confined to Las Vegas for weeks at a time playing for peanuts. He is confident he can make far more money playing in tournaments (and from his sponsors) than he can playing BB. As far as the actual game of BB is concerned, Shane thinks it's a JOKE. He only laughed when I asked him what he thought about the game. Did you really say it's the best pool anyone has ever viewed? I guess you've missed most of the great matches of the last 15 years. Check out Youtube sometime if you want to see some truly great pool. Start with the Mosconi Cup, World Cup of Pool, U.S. Open and the list just goes on from there.

Archer warned him? That's a laugh also. Shane is a man who thinks for himself. By the way I did "try" to watch the first day and gave up quickly. The stream wasn't bad, it was atrocious. But hey who cares about us pool players. We are not the target market. You are!

By the way I have no time in my life for hatred. What I am is a realist, who can see the forest for the trees. I will call a spade a spade every time, come hell or high water. :yeah:
Even now i see where people who have paid are unable to access the stream. More foul ups from the gang that brought you BB. Good luck!

Don't waste your time with Bremner, Jay. He's crazy and jaded.

I wish you the best of luck in your upcoming tournaments.

I can understand why Shane would think that BB won't be successful due to the business model. However, I don't understand why he thinks the game is a joke. It is not an easy game, even for the pros especially with the small pockets. I like seeing the wide variety of shots it demands and the unique challenges it presents that you don't often see in normal rotation games.

I think if you gave it more of chance, you'd agree that the game is interesting. I was very skeptical at the beginning too, but I have come to enjoy the game

I agree with you 100%.

The other promoters are sore since BB has impacted their events and I don't blame them.

Even still, Bonus Ball is pretty cool. You have to come with tough shots and it's interesting and challenging. You are really under the gun with the shot clock.

Bonus Ball is far more enjoyable to watch then 10 ball, that's a promise.

The thing I like least about bonus ball is the games go quickly so any moves and strategies must develop quickly.

Guys like SVB and MD wouldn't do well in this environment IMO.

It's too much of a team sport and the players must get along and communicate continuously.

I can believe SVB would simply laugh off BB, it sounds like something he would do.

The detractors often ask "if BB is so great why aren't the pros matching up and gambling at it". Stupid question.

100% true. But Shane is one of the few players that is a favorite to win any tournament he enters, and not all players have sponsors.

I don't know all of the players missing out on Tunica, but I'd bet there are quite a few marquee players that would definitely make more money playing BB that week.

I agree about the matching up part. It is too complicated a set up to match up in anyway- especially if the shot clock is employed. Besides, guys aren't that familiar with the game yet to feel confident matching up. In time, maybe they would be more likely to match up

I will watch a few more free Thursdays before I pay anything. I've had issues every week thus far watching, and want to be sure they are ironed out before I pay anything. Once I'm convinced its smooth sailing, I'll either buy the season or individual weeks.

Jay,

1.) Shane doesn't understand the game.

2.) They fixed the stream.

I'm curious how you know what Shane does or doesnt understand? You spend a lot of time around him discussing his outlook on BB?

I have.

Curious what your experience was.

Hey Justin,

Hope your well too Sir. My point is that Shane doesn't have BB perfected like he does playing 10 ball on your table, that' for sure. And I'd bet my life he's not practicing BB in lieu of his normal routine. Plus, he hasn't put the same hours in on BB as others have.

It seems to me these BB players are living a cult life right now and Larry is their kool-aid provider. Whether or not B survives is unknown, but it seems the players love it. And regardless if you like the game or not it's damn difficult with many fine nuisances. Even guys like Jeremy and Frost are not shooting the correct shots or taking the correct strategies.

Today, Las Vegas was leading Houston 6-4 going into the final team match. If Houston scores a 30-0 they win that game by 3 points which results in a match win of 7-6 Houston.
If they win the game by 2 points the match is tied 6-6 leading to a Capt's shootout.

If neither team score 30 to win the game out right in regulation, once the clock expires the game goes to a sudden death team shootout.

In a sudden death team shootout which ever team scores the highest run gets 1 point for that game win. (Toastie has the record with a 60 or 10 rounds).

So if the match goes to a shootout Houston can win the game but lose the match.

Guess what Houston opts to do?

Trust me, BB is quirky and I've seen enough to know now.

I'll watch tomorrow and see if JJ punches Earl.

If he does I will buy one more week.

If he doesn't I'm done.

Other than that, I don't know shit.

Hope that helps..

Shane .

Shane is young and plays pool better than anyone. If BB starts something big Do you think he won't be there ?? LMAO, He is going where he is destined to go, And that is where the money is. Loyalty and being easily influenced seems to be where he is at this point. They will go for what is best for them. Shane is one of the very few that can get away with this. If the paydays get bigger I expect Shane to be right there.
Gary

I tried to watch BB, even with the stream all screwed up I was able to see enough; not for me.

Can't wait for the county fair, I want to see if they switched from 3-ball to BB.

BB just doesn't do it for me from what I've seen. Just don't care for it. Even if it does make it to television it won't make it on my DVR list.

Shane made $7500 and no one else made anything. Not every one is Shane .

Let me ask you something Gary. If you had the opportunity to be on a Bonus Ball team and live in Vegas for several months and earn $930 a week, would you do it?
