no windy city show this year??????????

That is a great idea. But I don't think the venders will be happy with the lighting in the open area. Stay tuned . . .

Actually that was also one of first thoughts when I looked over the venue last year. I do believe that it could be accomplished. The temporary lighting could be strung from the exposed ceiling down to the tables. I'm not saying this is an easy issue to overcome just that it is possible. The biggest benefit to the Pyramid owners comes in the revenue and exposure they could potentially receive. If you look at an overview of the floor plan having the cue makers presentation/display areas in the front and back rooms you would create a traffic pattern right by the pool tables and the bar restaurant area. That would be a far more effective and profitable way for the owners to have this event. This presentation of ideas could be the vehicle to use to get the lighting and display areas setup in a more economical fashion for the room owners. As it was setup last year they received ZERO revenue from their pool tables during the show, to me that is an area of concern that should be addressed. They had a pool room full of pool players with no way to play pool, in my mind I saw every table in use and generating income. They could have even taken 10 tables and run a short race tourney at the same time for spectators to enjoy while they had a beer and some pizza. Again JMO folks!!!!
