Cole Dickson's Memorial Tournament~

Wow - 105 players.

That is a great turnout!

Way to go.

Cole was a very special guy and will be missed.
I only have a few short stories about him - since I was in Alaska while he was tearing up California and all other spots.

What's going on? Who's left in the event?

105 players is a very nice turnout. I love that!

Thanks for the stream. I tuned in twice today and have to say that I was very entertained by the caliber of players that you had on the TV table.

Also the commentary by you guys and the people that you snagged on the way by was
excellent. I don't care what anyone says, I like it when you read the chat room and acknowledge the people who are in Chat. You didn't over do it and it was a nice mix between the two.

The commentary on the game was also knowledgeable. The audio was very clear, I liked that. I'll be tuning in Sunday for a bit more.

Good job all the way around. I had my Cole memorial Tee shirt on today and still have it on.

Chris Williams of Rack n Roll Productions, who is Delbert Wong's (Owner of Family Billiards) Tournament Director, had some nice flyers made up. Delbert sent some to me and I included them with the June issue of Cue Sports Journal, that had a few stories about Cole in it, that went out to about forty west coast pool rooms.

I think this, along with Facebook, AZ Billiards and word of mouth from the local players helped. Daniel Busch of povpool.com who is streaming the event, also got the word out to his followers.

Getting 100 plus players together in a short time for this tournament is a great achievement and shows the regard the players have for Cole Dickson.

I think we have a full field of 128. I got beat 7-4 by Marshall Williams last night around midnight. Off to the loser's side today.

On a side note, OMGWTF is here, and she's got a pretty strong game. Amar Kang is playing well, too.

I saw part of it, but my computer keeps freezing for some reason and knocking me off.

Ike Runnels lost. :(

California pool rooms look so cool!

We don't have any pool rooms in my area like they do out there. :sorry:

Watching this stream and wondering if the commentators know there is a pool tournament going on. they are chattering away forever and not once mentioning anything about the players and the shots.. Time to mute

John, you did a great job with hat issue featuring stories about Cole and the tournament. Plus you put the electronic copy on facebook, I'm sure that helped a lot. Where you able to play?

I just got home after wearing my Cole Dickson Memorial Tournament t-shirt all day in honor of him. This is a great tribute and tournament, wish I were there.

Sure would like to see you out here again one of these days. I did not make it to the tournament. I am moving. Will miss the tournament at California Billiard Club too.

My next pool will be The Super Seniors at The Rio
