Rip-off Report on Glen, The Real King Cobra "UPDATE"

Let's stick with the subject of the thread here people. If you want to argue Brunswick vs. Diamond, then that sounds like a "new thread" discussion (for people who just want to one-up each other). Glen's relationship with Diamond and Diamond's involvement here has nothing to do with "which table is better"... or are certain people just wanting to divert from the thread subject because they are part of Glen's fan club? Maybe it's because this is probably the hottest thread on AZB right now and that a new thread on Diamond vs. GC wouldn't get any more attention than the last 100 threads that have been brought up on the subject in the past. I'm sure that there are several open threads asking "which table to buy" that will welcome all of your input. Why is the name "Brunswick" relevant in any way here?

Rip-off Report on Glen, The Real King Cobra "UPDATE"

I also would like to hear Glen's retort (as I was once considering using him myself)... and so I keep up with this thread. But if it is going to become a pissing contest about table manufactures, then I guess I'll just write Glen off before he even has his day in court, as I don't care what table each of you support (or why)... at least not in this thread. I am however, interested in how Diamond is handling the issue of these Big G rails that have been sitting "untouched" on their property for 5 months now.

Or am I now going to get pummeled here (as sometimes happens on AZB when someone speaks their mind... on topic). BTW... no one is going to get me into a "flame war" over what I just said... that would also be off topic.

If Glen brought a set of rails into a big ass factory and set them in a corner what exactly is Diamond supposed to do? I have worked in shops and factories most of my life. They are like black holes for odd ball things not in a process. Which is not Diamonds fault. They are not in the rebuilding Big G rails business. A dude that contracts for them brought a side job in their building and then went off the air.

Imagine if your buddy owns a garage and you work on cars there sometimes. One day you take a carburetor there to work on for some guy and then decide to just leave it there in a corner for six months. Does it really make sense for the guy you screwed over to get a case of the ass with your buddy who owns the garage?

No it doesnt.

I always love to see how many lawyers there are on AZ when shit like this goes down.

I dont care that you dont care what table everyone supports. Its the fvcking internet bro. Do you really think everyone is going to get in line because Diogenes has simply had enough of this shit?

Love this place.

Glen's retort was pretty much exhausted in the last thread when he said he was going to get the rails back to the owner and subsequently didn't. What the hell could he say now that would sound credible? He's right not to reply and not just because of the threatened legal action which I doubt he cares much about.

Exactly.

I mean what the hell could the guy possibly say now to make someone think "Oh ok...I will use that guy."

Glen lives in a truck criss crossing the nation humping slate and assembling pool tables. I would bet that the number of fvcks given about a small claims judgement is very minimal. What will hurt him the most is not being able to spout off here as much . At least for six months or so until everyone forgets all about this.

What else can be said, this post sums it up.

I think you'd be surprised how the courts view this. Further, it sounds like the relationship between RKC and Diamond is more than Independent Contractor as defined by the IRS.

With that said, I can't help but wonder about the pragmatic financial justification of filing in small claims for this matter. Winning a judgment may prove to be easy. Collecting will likely be another matter altogether.

Even more puzzling is how stubborn and stupid RKC is for simply not packing up this guy's rails and sending them back. I would think by now Diamond is aware of this situation and would be taking the necessary steps to settle this ASAP.

I still think there is a good chance that Diamond knows absolutely nothing about this.

I understand why the OP named Diamond but I still don't like it. Diamond has nothing to do with it and until proven otherwise I am going to assume they know zero about this guys rails.

Agreed.

I would name everyone possible in the suit, including all of the officers, of Diamond.

Diamonds are made when coal is exposed to enough heat and pressure.

On Topic Police alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This whole thread is ridiculous since it's now a legal matter and the people involved should be keeping their fingers from clicking.

The rest of us will have to wait to find out what the result is.

In the mean time Diamond vs. Brunswick is a good diversion.

I could give a crap about made in the USA. Everything I've bought from there lately has been less than top notch.

I bought a smoker/bbq last year (made in the USA) guess what, I'm shopping again because it has almost rusted out already. I've taken care of it, it's been covered when not being used, It's just cheap materials (not a cheap price), and poor workmanship.

Made in the USA does not equal good quality

Oh yeah, Diamond vs. Brunswick. All other things being equal, I'll buy the diamond even though it's made in the USA.

<<<<<<< are we at 200 yet?

I did not realize that legal counsel was involved. I agree with you that he is better off not posting one word. Good observation!

Oh dang it, I used the wrong "c" word. ;) Thanks for the subtle correction -- "counsel" instead of "council." :thumbup2:

I agree that diamond probably does not anything about this. But the OP should try to let them know.

I'm sure they don't want anything to do with it,,even though it's not their fault. They would rather just have them out of their building.

Hell?? That's if they are even there!!! Who the heck knows at this point. Maybe he fixed them and used them somewhere else.

Once you lie to someone,,,everything you say loses credibility!!! Haven't you ever watched judge Joe Brown??

I agree. Unfortunately for Diamond guilt by proximity happens all the time. Possession plays a huge role. I'm under the impression that at this point the rails are located on Diamond's property. Essentially at this point the angle will most likely be that they're in possession of stolen property.

Armchair lawyer or not, this isn't an outlandish assumption.

I still think there is a good chance that Diamond knows absolutely nothing about this.

I understand why the OP named Diamond but I still don't like it. Diamond has nothing to do with it and until proven otherwise I am going to assume they know zero about this guys rails.
Doesn't matter if they know or not. They're in possession of stolen property. No I'm not saying Glen set out to steal but rather has refused to return the property after many many many opportunities.

Just for fun - if it is true that Diamond is entirely unaware that these rails
have been stashed at their facility - doesn't that at the very least,
indicate they are monumentally incompetent in the management of
their enterprise?

I'm just saying...

The courrts may take an interest in how his wages are paid, both by Diamond and his many side jobs. Surely he reports all of it to the IRS:smile:.

When the judgement comes down on Glenn I wonder what assets they will go after to get repaid. Garnishing wages is tough if the man has been let go by Diamond and is making a living reclothing tables on the open road.

Come on Glenn give the people what they want, just tell us what you are thinking now?

You have a good point. In the eyes of the law ,I don't think it matters if they know or not. They might be partly responsible.IDK?? But just maybe.

That's in a perfect "Matlock" world. Where you can prove they are there. LMAO

Maybe Columbo could get er done!!! But the OP??? Hmmm? He needs a pool table specialist that travels the country ,,problem solving and fixing peoples tables for them. LOL Maybe "the real big snake" or someone named similar???

Post

I think I just seen glen on a Popeyes chicken commercial! Are you going start a lawsuit on Popeyes chicken because glen entered the property with your cash and left some of it behind in a pile of bones?
It could of been completely someone else in the commercial, my mind plays tricks on me every now and then.

How is it that this thread isn't at 200 yet?

My contribution.

RKC thinks that being a table mechanic is on par with being Christ.
Hate to break the news to him, but he is not the messiah.

The legions of nuthuggers that follow him around wanting his autograph and hoping to bear his children are just... stupid. (Duh!)

I like Gold Crowns better then Diamonds, but who really cares about that crap.

Made in the USA doesn't mean quality anymore, but apparently, some people are too brainwashed or too patriotic to understand that. (No biggie. They can blow their money on all the crappy American products they want)

The OP has a legitimate gripe, best of luck resolving the situation.

And apparently the internet is only important when you have something to say, not when someone else does.

Happy 5th of July people.
