I haven't seen Fast Lenny on AZ since he hurt his ankle. Is he back doing camera work or still out? Johnnyt

What is taking so long to heal? I could have swore Nate said he'd be back the next day. I wonder if Bonus Ball pays sick days? Well get better Lenny if your reading this. Johnnyt

I have no idea what happened to him, injury-wise, but Imma gonna type something vageuly related anyway...

I once sprained my ankle playing basketball- I was ruling my friends, out jumping them, owning the lane, hitting the long ball, swiping the ball almost at-will- I came down on the back of a buddy's leg, full weight onto pronated foot.

I couldn't put weight on it for ~6mos. Was brutal.

Sprains can often be worse than a break.

And let's not forget fractures. In my 20s, I had three fractures in my ankle due to a car accident. I wore a cast for a while. When they took the cast off, the doctor said I still had a fracture that wasn't healing. I think it was called a "spiral fracture." I had to get an operation and get a pin put in my ankle. It's still there today.

Lenny probably does not want to post on AzBilliards and dodge the word bombs that will be aimed at him about the Bonus Ball press release. I don't blame him. If he's sick, who wants to deal with that.

If you read this, Lenny, I hope you feel better.

Here is a result of a bad sprain for yours truly:frown:

OMG! :yikes::yikes::yikes:

My ankle is starting to hurt. :embarrassed2:

Sorry:embarrassed2: Maybe I should of warned first. Its not so bad now, surgery was almost three years ago. The pain is much better but I do wish I had the joint back.

I'm game....here is karma when I tried to give my friend a charlie horse on his leg after a comment he made (all in good humor/goofing around of course). I extended my fist and must have just hit his leg at a bad spot...$2k mistake lol.

Broke my pinky and fractured the next finger over. They had to put in an anchor in my pinky to move everything back in place as well as the two pins.

Here's my most recent sprained ankle story.

I play basketball with a group of guys during the fall/winter months. I often take my young son and sometimes even my young daughter. She was 5 at the time.

Anyway, it was the last week of playing and here I was going up for a rebound. I came down right on my brother in-law's ankle and the pain was horrible. It was the worst ankle roll I've ever had. So, here I am flailing away on the ground in pain and out of the corner of my eye I see my daughter running towards me. I'm thinking to myself that she's probably really worried about me and I'm prepared to see her a bit frightened.

So, she reaches me and says, "Dad, did you bring any snacks?"

My brother in-law lost it. He was crying with laughter. I even managed a laugh or two while rolling on the floor.

I didn't have any snacks.

I was limping around all spring.

What did you do that they called it a sprain to earn all the hardware?

I blew it out jumping off a track of a D8 Cat dozer in 1988. I landed on it sideways and had a severe sprain torn ligaments. Over the years more sprains with scar tissue build up and a healthy dose of arthritis made it impossible to walk without a pronounced limp.
I was encouraged to wait as long as possible before I had ankle fusion, so thats what I did.

Sprained ankles can be brutal and without the correct PT you are at risk of more sprains in the future.

The front view is even scarier.
