When i said JA knew BB was a failure waiting to happen. He shouldn't promote a game he knew was a failure because he's a roll model to MANY aspiring players you all pretty much told me to shut up JA is the best BLAH BLAH BLAH. How come people are asking him questions on here and he's not answering ANY of them. He's a dirt bag just like his buddy charlie williams

And your point is? Get a life
Here I'll give you something for your trouble

He's a dirtbag because he wont answer any question regarding bonus ball ?

You're a GD idiot !

The point is, it's time pool players took a stand with leaders who actually care about each other and the game. About bettering the game long term, not some short term gain.

More like some kid yelling "I told you so" look at me
Guess everyone should take his advice from now on
I'll make my own decisions, why try to pull the I told u so card
I'll stick with my statement

I think we all know what happened here. Players were clinging to an idea that the figured wouldn't do well, BUT A LONG SHOT IS BETTER THAN NO SHOT!

JA isn't a dirtbag for trying to take the only shot there was to be had. JA has made some questionable moves with the ABP, but do you really think he wasn't hoping for the best with BB?????????

C'mon man...

You get down on him for not answering questions on here, what makes you think he even reads the forums?

With Blotto Ball, Johnny is trying to build a fence out of Jello.

The intent- to make pro pool a viable career- is there, but the material is crap.

I think it was a mistake for him to choose to get involved. IMO, he loses a bit of career credibility jumping onboard with any new venture that pops up.

But what are you gonna say about the Man? Pool has been his life for decades, he still plays top-notch pool and I believe he wants the best for all 'pro' players.

If he started responding to forums, he'd never get off the AZB. And why would he jeapordize his relationship with his 'employer' :slap: to appease us?

Can't make no fence out of Jello.

Let me get this straight, you are faulting Johnny Archer for trying to help Bonus Ball launch. Even if he wasn't optimistic about the chances he still was a participant and was trying to help it succeed. If anything that should show his determination to help the game of pool in general.

Let me ask you this before I red rep ya, what have you given back to the game of pool?

People are telling you to shut up because you're blowing some minor gossipy bullshit out of proportion,
and now you want to stroke your own ego trying to impress everyone with 'I told you so' and
'I know what's going on behind the scenes'.

Nobody's impressed dude.

OK, Johnny promoted an organization when privately he suspected it might fail. So what?
If that's the worst thing Johnny ever did in his life, that makes him a more decent man than 99%
of the people on earth. Save the word "dirtbag" for people who deserve it.

The guys who signed up for BB are grown adults, they made their own decision
and if you ask them why they joined, I doubt any of them will say
"Johnny vouched for it and personally guaranteed me I'd have a paying job for the next 10 years!"

The reason he doesn't post on AZ is the same reason many other pros avoid it... because some loudmouths
want to act shitty and disrespectful towards people on here, and it's not worth the hassle
trying to fade their bad attitude. What makes you think johnny owes you answers?
He isn't responsible for barry or larry stiffing the players.

Who Among Us Knows What's "Truly" Good From What's "Truly" Bad???

Bonus Ball may not have been "good," however, I would bet any man it's leading to something VERY, VERY good for professional pool and the players. Sometimes the road leading to the "Promised Business Land" doesn't go straight and may have some bumps and curves along the way.

Isn't this true in most cases through history? (it is from my experience} Looking back at my life, some of the apparently "bad" experiences turned out to be the very best, and I'm sure not to be the only one, take this farmer for example.....

There was once a farmer who owned a horse and had a son.....

One day, his horse ran away. The neighbors came to express their concern: "Oh, that's too bad. How are you going to work the fields now?" The farmer replied: "Good thing, Bad thing, Who knows?"

In a few days, his horse came back and brought another horse with her. Now, the neighbors were glad: "Oh, how lucky! Now you can do twice as much work as before!" The farmer replied: "Good thing, Bad thing, Who knows?"

The next day, the farmer's son fell off the new horse and broke his leg. The neighbors were concerned again: "Now that he is incapacitated, he can't help you around, that's too bad." The farmer replied: "Good thing, Bad thing, Who knows?"

Present MomentSoon, the news came that a war broke out, and all the young men were required to join the army. The villagers were sad because they knew that many of the young men will not come back. The farmer's son could not be drafted because of his broken leg. His neighbors were envious: "How lucky! You get to keep your only son." The farmer replied: "Good thing, Bad thing, Who knows?" = 'The Game is the Teacher'

I think Johnny A. is far from a dirt bag. I believe he takes advise from the wrong people. Do I think he should be the president of a player org...no. I hope this US Open 9 ball holding the stake BS doesn't blow up in his face also. Johnnyt

reminds me of this one;

"the road to success is always under construction"

what is the time horizon for the "VERY VERY good thing"?

(Well said CJ.). We shouldn't all contribute to bashing Rackemup20. Indeed, he took the time to post and we should respect that. Perhaps Rackemup20 has his own frustrations (as we all do) toward BB—no doubt, we want to see it succeed.
However, Rackemup, understand you should never try to vent frustrations at the expense of anyone. No matter who it is.
JA is a role model and simply put himself out there. That's what leaders do. They do what they can for the industry. It's really like playing pool....let's use 14.1 as our example....you just ran the rack and are faced with a difficult break (and continue) shot. You have a hunch you are going to miss, but to play safe would not be the best option....so you show a little heart and desire and shoot the shot, but alas, you miss. Now all is not lost...Just remember, chances are you WILL get another inning.....

wtf is a "roll" model

this guy know alot about rolls,

Don't post that picture! I keep getting finger prints on my screen trying to poke him in the belly.

Johnny owns the Marietta Billiards Club in Marietta, GA. He is in there shooting quite frequently.... I see him most Thursdays that I'm in there. He's very friendly and will talk to anyone.

If these burning questions that you have need to be answered, take a flight or car ride and I'm sure he will answer.
