Big difference here. Chris just got back from someplace not too long ago playing tough competition.

I havn't played anyone hardly at all since Tunica and wasn't in stroke then.

Started to get there by the end though. Played a couple of guys that thought they should win.

But it really doesn't matter who hasn't played or played or what we've done.

It's who can get it done this time. Right here in Columbus Ohio.

His table, Measle ball and home town atmosphere.

I'd say that's plenty fair for sure.

Have to see how this one plays out.

Sure, he did go to a couple of tourneys in the past couple months but outside of hitting balls for a week or two prior to those tourneys, I'll guarantee you he hasn't played more than 8 hours of pool since Derby City. Promise that you have played more pool in the past two years than he has in the past 7-8 years combined and that he has played more poker than you have pool. What the hell am I thinking??? YOU ARE STEALING.....
 
I saw in the players profile, Chris beat Appleton in Tar 18($20K) in 2010 and Dechaine in TAR 9($20K) in 2008.

Playing at that speed and not giving this 57yr old guy any weight??

Dechaine was even
I beat Rodney Morris in a tar match as well. He gave me the call 8

Sounds like it is going to be a bloodbath for Gene.... so with that logic, please provide how many games you wanna give up, and I'll take Gene. I mean, it's gonna be a blood bath, whats a few games gonna hurt. Make your best "offer" now, my PM are clear and waiting.... not all at once now :)

I haven't even looked at a pool table in the last two months, by by Jebus, I threw a little money Ray's way just to see what is bound to be an entertaining match either way..

Either Geno is gonna get slaughtered... Which will be entertaining... Or he'll surprise everyone and make a match of it...Which will be entertaining... :-)

Hmmm, Smooth Criminal... I am wondering what your angle here is.. In all politeness...

You KNOW ChicagoRJ is not gonna bet you even on this.... So... You saying that you think the game should be even... Is this just something you intend to do for 5-6 posts to drive down the amount of games you have to give him???

Seems like a big waste of time to me... If you REALLY intend to try to not give up any games with RJ, I suggest you just say "No Bet"....'Cuz he sure ain't gonna bet you even on a guy you are realistically AT LEAST a 3 game favorite over per set..

It seems like you probably have the best of this game by a fair margin.. Geno is prolly just playing in the match for the lesser end of the purse... So HE'S not gonna bet you more... Any talk of him bringing up his backer to bet more is simply that.. Talk.

Seems to me the only realistic chance you have of getting extra money outta this is to take side bets, and you are simply gonna have to give up weight... I understand hustlers always do the "Awwww, yeah... He and I play even...Blah blah blah blah..." And that works in the pool hall amongst amateurs..

But dude... NOBODY is gonna bet on Geno even against you...Woofing at anyone to do so is absolutely pointless...

So...In the side bets... Either make a realistic bet.. Or stop woofing at side bettors.

Just SAYin'!!!

AT LEAST 3. I'll give up 4 is a win and 5 is a push for you. There's a side bet offer using better side of the line you stated. Let me know, something friendly if you are interested.

I'll also lay 7:2 Chris wins the match.

I'll also bet Gene doesn't win a set.

I'll lay 3.5:1 Gene does not win a game by 3-foul rule in the first set. I'll lay 2.5:1 Gene does not win a game by 3-foul rule in the first set. Odds are kind of low for this bet but it is a very tight table so I could have the worst of it at that.

I will bet that no one runs more than 3 straight racks.

These are open to anyone not just Russ. Just offering him directly as I am in his pocket. :)

No pros ever gamble anymore in the US. Now you have a non-pro looking to play even with a pro and everyone is giving him sh|t?

My thoughts are at least we get to see this match up finally! I don't think it would matter if they were playing for 100k or a 100 pennies. Neither guy wants to lose to the other. I wish Geno would bet more, but I don't blame him for being smart with his money. I'm rooting for a good match. I like both parties involved.

I will watch Bartram play ANYONE, that guy has it right under his name. "Real Cold Steel." He's just fun to watch. GREAT player!!!

I've met Geno, only briefly, and seen him play a little. I enjoy his posts, and his take on traveling while matching up and giving lessons. He is the underdog hear no doubt. The thing is, even a long shot, is still a shot. I think Geno has it right with his money. It would be a bad deal to blow your whole bank roll matching up with Bart. Hard to believe he doesn't have a bigger bank role by now, but it is what it is. I wouldn't play Bart even, if I were Geno, so he has my kudos for that.


Just out of curiosity, Chris, what would you need from SVB to make a game? (10ball and 1p) I need the rainbow, and sometimes that's not enough... Guy plays too good!!!
