JOHNNY ARCHER apologizes for text to Mike Dechaine

Poor Johnny Archer, it's been reported, is abusing alcohol.

Eyewitnesses at the event said Archer was cursing, slamming sticks on the table, and trashing players like Keith McCready and Ronnie Wiseman on the livestream, all the while drinking alcohol.

Nice guy, this Johnny Archer.

I wonder if I should share what I know about Johnny on a livestream.

You mean Thumper

damn it! we were almost there.... Primo types faster than i do.

yáll just let me know when JA posts - PM me please.

Here's the thing & I hope you will agree. Melanie is not Johnny & she is not representing the ABP. If Mike had something along those line he should have said them to Johnny & not his wife. Why bring something as personal as someone's wife into 'business'.

I hope you see my point.

I see your point, exactly. and i'm in agreement.

though, I was picturing md and mrs archer having a casual conversation and the subject of abp came up and md, being the non-shrinking-violet he is, shared his opinion.

so, while it may have been better to discuss it directly with johnny, I don't think it's unreasonable that mike told his wife how he felt - as long as he was respectful.

and, fwiw, l know for a fact that mike has discussed these same feelings with johnny, directly.

you know, being the non-shrinking-violet that he is...

best,
brian kc

Some of you guys are writing your own version of the story
without reading Johnny or Mike's post carefully.

Johnny's exact words are:

Not "about" Johnny's wife. TO his wife. Meaning, they spoke face to face.

Nowhere does Johnny claim Mike actually said something nasty about his woman.
But maybe he kind of allows that misunderstanding to continue, because it creates
a simple narrative with a good guy and a bad guy, and johnny gets to be the good guy.

I guess some of you want to believe the story is something like: mike said something
rude about or to johnny's wife, or even made a pass at her, and the family man
said "them's fighting words!" to the arrogant mouthy kid trying to steal his
woman or besmirch her honor.

The boring reality is probably that mike was making small talk with his wife,
they talked about the pro pool scene, and mike made some very blunt comments
about the ABP, which was Johnny's brainchild, so of course he took offense
when she repeated the comments to him.

I am just having fun responding to your guys shots, not my fault all you guys combined cant keep up ... its all about the skills dub :D I have tried to stay on topic but you guys wont give up on the ban thing and wilson lets you get away with it, I am sure i will be looked at as the trouble in here even though I am only responding to posts.

If i were home, on a computer with a keyboard, I'd keep up just fine, as opposed to being at work and on my phone.

If you really aren't a formerly banned individual, you have nothing to concern yourself with, and you say Mr.Wilson is good with you. Just ignore the talk then, hold your head high.

No skin off my nose, either way. At least you aren't pocketpoint or sc5.

Anyone can make a mistake. Only a few will be man enough to step up and do the right thing. Unfortunately for you, your fame brings increased scrutiny. Glad to see you take the steps in this case to be a man.

I wondered how long it would take for you to get back to your "real job" of bashing instructors. Not long, I see...

However it seems that instructors in general only read into certain text what they want to. Perhaps some loyalty in your eyes has clouded your reading skills or...perhaps I did not make myself crystal clear.

Some answers and a question

Why did Johnny fall in love with Bonus Ball.....the answer here!

5 July, 2010 Larry Chiborak calls a news conference in Winnipeg to announce his new game, Bonus Ball. It does not attract a throng of media even though it is in conjunction with a tournament to be held at the local casino.

The media it did attract, that did a news item on this groundbreaking new game featured Johnny Archer demonstrating how the game is played and as spokesperson.

The reporter ask Johnny Archer, “What attracted you to Bonus Ball?”

Johnny replies, “Well. You know, I’m gonna tell you the truth. What really attracted me to the game is the scoreboard. Ah, because no other sport in the world doesn’t have a scoreboard. It’s so great, you can keep up with the score, you can keep up with what’s going on, you know other people can watch, they can be excited, they can know what we’ re doin’; Cause, if you can’t follow it, it doesn’t matter how great the game is your not gonna watch it.”

The accompanying newspaper article contains the following quote. "This is the thing that is going to make us a great sport," said Archer. "With Larry's help and Bonus Ball, I think everyone's going to flourish."

Johnny, new question, was it really the shiny scoreboard and your opinion that none of us can follow pool, be excited about pool, without it that caused you to become the pied piper for Bonus Ball?
