the real skid was not serious about buying
it was his way of knocking

i have 3 buyers

i only had 2 cues and the money is going to an elderly lady in a nursing home
direct to her paypal

she will not know why

thanks for the fun

2 cues and a case are sold on this goofy thread in less than 1 hour

the buyers will probably respond with pics etc next week
 
You are the man Dean and only you could sell this way! I think it has to do with the person you are! Merry Christmas and you did a great thing for the elderly lady in the nursing home...

Man that was fast...... I was sitting here scratching my head ..and they're gone... Dean u are the man.....great gift to the nursing home bound lady..on this Christmas Day.
 
Too slow. I was actually gonna buy a cue this week anyway. Looking forward to seeing what people receive.

I lost my dad at age 85 the day before Thanksgiving. Tough year around here.

as a matter of fact I do have on very beautiful far out cue made for me as a first prototype that i could
put up at $1250

but i need the cue makers permission,it would be worth $3000 if not for a few small imperfections that only a real cue nerd could find

contact me quick,if i can get permission,i will make one of you very happy and the envy of the pool room

next week,your friends will be saying "WOW!!!" junior will be asking if you will leave it to him in the will,and your wife will be saying "so this is where the money for the new sewing machine went!

On second thought,maybe you shouldn't brag too much around the spouse,unless of course you intend to give it to her,and then you really will be a hero.Romance my friend...ROMANCE will be kindled

LOL! You know, my first instinct was to knock this thread, as is my instinct most of the time on Dean's threads. I know people feel very comfortable buying cues without pics from him ala his reputation. So since many people were willing, why bother saying anything.
Then, he posts, buy my cue and I am now not even going to tell you thing one about it. I thought this was crazy and I should say how I feel. I am glad I didn't. Not only was there an AZ army of people willing to stand up and purchase sans any information, but then when Dean posted the true ulterior motive I would have eaten my words even more.

Mega props to you sir.While, I personally don't have the stomach to purchase cues sight unseen, I have nothing but great respect for you. Well done!
 
i am afraid i have not represented everything
the money is going to my mother in law
we are not close but my wife told me she was in trouble and asked if i would help

i didn't mean to give the idea a stranger was involved

she will receive money from people she never heard of and i will get to hear the strange story though,
through my wife

my mother in law has not liked me since i got the boys mohawks when they were kids

oh well happy holidays to everyone

when the pictures come out
i bet some of you guys are gonna wish you had acted faster
