He claims its all just for the good of pool in a effort to get pool back on TV
Now I'm no producer but I did sleep at a holiday inn once
If your trying to get pool on TV the place to start is TV with his infomercials there
Running his adds here in a market that already exists of pool players and fans achieves very little IMHO
The market to be hitting is the people who are not aware of the pool world or view it negatively ,, He may think that the million dollar challange would inspire that crowd to shoot pool but really that's not much incentive when other sports stars loose that in a night at the casino

This guys head is so big he is borderline delusional, and so are some of his followers. I have and will continue to refrain from stating what other industry "leaders" and "pros" have stated. Guys - just don't be so quick to believe that he loved by all. There have been very few of these people coming to the rescue of his antics, notice that? Well I guess you can count a guitarist from a band (great band) that hat a hit, in 1989. Oh and CJ, if you are giving the 6/7/8/9 come to Chicago, you got action!
But he brings this all on him self , and for what upside? To sell a few more copies of his DVDs? If he sells 500 copies of this I would be surprised. The good news is he says it for a bigger cause and is not about selling DVDs. THEN LAY OFF THE HARD SELL.
I can't understand why anyone cannot see that these posts referencing people or moments within the documentary, posted almost daily, is not a completely blatant, as the poster above stated, an infomercial is nothing but an attempt to sell his DVD. THESE POSTS OFFER ZERO NEW CONTENT. ZERO! It's an Ad, why are people so afraid to call an Ad an Ad?
Yet without class he posts a commercial in someone's thread asking for a review. Wrong on many levels, not to mention the main forum is not the place for posting something you have for sale.
Now CJ is not a dumb man. He knew the timeline and his ultimate goal. TOI was just to build current credibility in advance of his Magnus opus, million dollar miss. His hope is to sell this to Hollywood for a big payday. Why not? I wish him the best and hopes it makes it to the big screen, even the small screen.
That being said, I wish he was less annoying. Truth is Hollywood doesn't need him if they wanted to make a movie on the event. How much traction would "based on the documentary that sold over 300 DVD copies get the producers. Versus say I don't know. "As told by the million dollar man himself, the greatest of all time, Earl the petal Strickland".
Oh my bad, your buddy Earl will insist on no deal unless his good friend CJ is on the payroll. For sure, that will happen. -just don't go around putting people down because they are not in the movie business, like you.
CJ was not here until he had something to sell. He peddles his products without regard for rules or decency. Support him by buying his products but supporting his actions is not mutually exclusive.
And with that, I am done.
