With all due respect CJ Wiley

Who is CJ Wiley and why is he saying all those bad things about me?
To tell the truth I don't even notice his commercials anymore, it all looks the same in every post anyway. How many times can you try to sell the same thing to the same people? That gets old and probably becomes counter productive as well.

CJ is very opinionated (as if anyone hadn't noticed), and often I don't agree with him. I don't mind a good debate as long as it doesn't get ugly. Even though CJ is stubborn as heck, he is always respectful as far as I can see. I consider him a friend and not an adversary. Now if he just wouldn't plaster his mug all over here I'd be a lot happier. I just want to slap that smiling face one time, but I know that if I did, I'd be in for a kung-fu beating!

But Jay, CJ is the 1996 ESPN world champion. He can post his face as many times as he wants to!

Wedge, has he sent you a "thank you" PM yet for creating what is now a 3 page thread that is partially doing promotion for him? I'm just sayin...:grin-square:

He claims its all just for the good of pool in a effort to get pool back on TV
Now I'm no producer but I did sleep at a holiday inn once
If your trying to get pool on TV the place to start is TV with his infomercials there
Running his adds here in a market that already exists of pool players and fans achieves very little IMHO
The market to be hitting is the people who are not aware of the pool world or view it negatively ,, He may think that the million dollar challange would inspire that crowd to shoot pool but really that's not much incentive when other sports stars loose that in a night at the casino

This guys head is so big he is borderline delusional, and so are some of his followers. I have and will continue to refrain from stating what other industry "leaders" and "pros" have stated. Guys - just don't be so quick to believe that he loved by all. There have been very few of these people coming to the rescue of his antics, notice that? Well I guess you can count a guitarist from a band (great band) that hat a hit, in 1989. Oh and CJ, if you are giving the 6/7/8/9 come to Chicago, you got action!

But he brings this all on him self , and for what upside? To sell a few more copies of his DVDs? If he sells 500 copies of this I would be surprised. The good news is he says it for a bigger cause and is not about selling DVDs. THEN LAY OFF THE HARD SELL.

I can't understand why anyone cannot see that these posts referencing people or moments within the documentary, posted almost daily, is not a completely blatant, as the poster above stated, an infomercial is nothing but an attempt to sell his DVD. THESE POSTS OFFER ZERO NEW CONTENT. ZERO! It's an Ad, why are people so afraid to call an Ad an Ad?

Yet without class he posts a commercial in someone's thread asking for a review. Wrong on many levels, not to mention the main forum is not the place for posting something you have for sale.

Now CJ is not a dumb man. He knew the timeline and his ultimate goal. TOI was just to build current credibility in advance of his Magnus opus, million dollar miss. His hope is to sell this to Hollywood for a big payday. Why not? I wish him the best and hopes it makes it to the big screen, even the small screen.

That being said, I wish he was less annoying. Truth is Hollywood doesn't need him if they wanted to make a movie on the event. How much traction would "based on the documentary that sold over 300 DVD copies get the producers. Versus say I don't know. "As told by the million dollar man himself, the greatest of all time, Earl the petal Strickland".
Oh my bad, your buddy Earl will insist on no deal unless his good friend CJ is on the payroll. For sure, that will happen. -just don't go around putting people down because they are not in the movie business, like you.

CJ was not here until he had something to sell. He peddles his products without regard for rules or decency. Support him by buying his products but supporting his actions is not mutually exclusive.

And with that, I am done.

Does anyone know who he beat in the finals to win that championship? Hat's off to the first person who gets it right!

Hats off to the first person who cares ,,
The only thing even remotely interesting was Earls run ,, most people don't even no who won

Not that she can't play but it goes to show you how strong that field was

That field was strong, you got that right. He had to beat Earl Strickland to win the best of the men..The top man played the top lady in the final I believe. Jay would know more than I, but this field had Allison Fisher as well, and a lot of great men players....

Agreed. CJ had to beat a tough field to get to the final match. Vivian also did real well to get there.

Ya I saw the Earl match and Earl sell out dogging it I still wonder if he missed it on purpose after all he had a million large coming to his pocket and it was CJs event that allowed it to happen ,, I know I would have
I don't believe this was a open world event

Really?? You are saying Earl Strickland would dump a match on ESPN?? You will never see Earl dog anything on purpose..I'm am sure you're wrong here...

Didn't Earl sell out against Shane in one of the TAR matches
even so how much concentration would you have left after you just one a Million large
Earl is a known head case I can see him thinking clearly after that

I can't see anybody thinking clearly after that.
I've seen Earl give up, but I don't expect him to dump.

At snooker, when someone runs a maximum (147).....
...they often lose the match.

My memory is not good but I think he fired at a combo or something like that sticks in my mind and a safe or two that was questionable
