Rhea the new Chapter, without Gene

Who was it that left you?
Me and my girlfriend run events round this town, have most players numbers and can find out their location if it's someone everyone knows.

You can PM me the name, so it's not in the open. If I know of anyone that can possibly get your stuff back I'll let you know.
 
Good try but she doesn't play pool, never has I met her before I started playing pool
 
Wow there's a major difference between how I am shooting today compared to yesterday.
Today after a good six hour power nap and an empty stomach I am playing at the top of my game. Good enough that I would win if I were to spot myself the seven out and the last three to someone that played like I did yesterday.

I won my first match in the Gulf coast tour seven to one. Waiting for my second match.

I'm leaving Houston tomorrow and headed to Arlington for a week then headed to Austin afterwards.

I hate that you got ripped off by a Friend' - but I would really lean on her to get your belongings back.

If you can't get her to cooperate- I would try contacting police (good luck but u might get lucky)- one phone call from a cop could probably solve the problem.

Then I would burn il her FB page and friends. I would out her so everyone would know what a POS she is. You might shame her into doing the right thing.

You should make an effort right now to become Facebook Friends with all of your "helper friend's" FB friends.

That way when she unfriends you, you will still be able to unleash the fury on her (on Facebook) and at least she will think twice about doing something like that to someone else.

Did you get a ride back to the house where your stuff is at?

Im now in Arlington/dallas . Bought a new wardrobe. Still have my stick, tablet, and phone. Lost everything else but I did end up getting hold of her by phone today. Her excuse for not coming back to the poolroom with my stuff this weekend is that she ran out of gas. She says she will have my stuff for me next time I am in league city. I don't believe her.
 
Why in the world would you leave without getting your stuff back which includes your social security card etc?
 
Because I have to earn my daily nut for motels. The expenses don't go on pause just because of a mishap. My bankroll is about down to 4 days of living expenses. I need to get it back up to at least three weeks of living expenses to feel safe.

You are all trying to make sense of a nonsensical situation.

If it isn't abundantly clear that any shred of logical thinking has left the station a while ago, you aren't paying attention.

School of hard knocks is teaching Rhea now. If I would have still been on the road with her it wouldn't have happened for sure.

That would be a stretch for sure to think she is on the run, plastering her stuff all over AZ:rolleyes:

Nothing fishy, just too trusting. If you were ever around Rhea for awhile Scott you would understand the trust thing.

Very unfortunate for her though.:confused: Some motels won't even give you a room without one. I know. I lost my ID a while back. It was tough without it.

Train wreck just around the corner, for another one. How many times do people have to try and reinvent their own wheel. It takes money to make money...and I'm not talking about just trying to survive. Not a very good business plan / model... pool playing.... even if you have money to start with. There is never a good 'end game' for this 'hobby-playing pool' as a business no matter how smart you think you are. What world champions recommend this sport as a pathway to retirement?

Like any form of Gambling... Pool is entertainment for 99.9 % of the Population. The ENTERTAINMENT (in this forum) continues...

Rhea's not "on the run"!

Rhea's trained via 3 yrs Army & an Expert Shot @ almost 6 ft tall & 40 yrs old, Scott. Rhea, can take care of Rhea & knows the Game.

unfortunately, Gene had to come in off of the road, for obvious family reasons. so that Gene - could take care of Gene....

I chatted with Rhea briefly on Tuesday evening. She has her driver's license/ID but lost a lot of her every day type stuff.

I can't count the number of times I have seen geno let people play for free or way less than full price on his tables back in the day before my hiatus from pool. Or the number of pointers and tips he has given to people because he genuinely enjoys seeing others improve and play better. hmmm...or maybe it is because he was getting bored with the lack of competition ;) If any friendly folks run into Rhea, think of anyone that has ever done you a favor or just did something kind for no reason and consider doing something similar for someone else. Especially if it doesn't put you out in the slightest. Something as simple buying soda or seeing if there is any basic everyday things that could help out a person that got swindled by an old friend that they trusted. Don't think of it as a train wreck or in a spiteful 'that's what happens on the road.'
 
Maybe I over value the importance of having a social security card which is required for certain things in life...I just find it odd that more effort wasn't given to retrieve it before leaving i.e. contacting authorities, other friends of hers, places she frequents etc...lots of other things that could have been done instead of just leaving because it's time to move on and try to make money elsewhere....
