Top 8 Mosconi picks announced!!!

Seems like you understand but you and others really don't. Mark didn't pick solely based on skill. He picked on what would be the best TEAM -- in his mind.

If you picked the players of the USA based on skill the team would be

SVB
Archer
Earl
Rodney
Dechaine

and then throw in one more of the 7 others that Mark chose along with Bartram, Frost, Hennessey, Bennett, Moore and I am sure a few others to battle it out.

But again - Mark picked 8 players he feels will play the best when it gets down to 5 of them as a team.
Plus he's preparing his team for future years

lol @ all of the content of this post. Take what is written here and reverse all of it.

If Chris,, Jeremy ,, and Brandon are the best we can put up we should just mail it in and save the humiliation nothing against any of them but what have they won to date that puts them top tier

I pretty much agree with Watchez about the pecking order as far as who is going to get the cheese in America

SVB
Archer
Earl
Rodney
Dechaine

Then
Deuel
Schmidt
Hatch
Mills
Moore
Bartrum
Hennessy
JJ
etc....

If you look at that list, the only ones picked for the team are SVB, Deuel and Schmidt and perhaps only one of them will make it to the final 5. It remains to be seen how the selections made will work out. I hope it will work because I'm a huge homer and US fan all the way.

That being said, Europe is going to horsef@#$ us in the Mosconi Cup this year, lol.

Watch this if you're a Jeremy Sossei non-believer. Its not a match, but a highlight video from Nycgrind of Jeremy defeating Robles in the Predator Tour. The STRONG 8-2 lead that he starts off with and the composure he keeps during the match is excellent. He continues to apply pressure and is a perfect sportsman and gentleman, and plays incredible to compliment his mannerism. This should change anyone's mind about him being on the team.

It's weird Didn't hear anything from you about Steve Moore coming to play me 10 ball

I'm just going by what he told me when I told him you would play again. He said that you've said you'd play him several times and backed out.

I would like to hear when that was ?
I did ask him for the last 2
But I don't think I need it on my home table
So it's in stone I'll play even an ahead set in Columbus
Or I'll travel to you guys and play a set of 1 pocket and 10 ball

No. There are 5 spots and nobody is a lock although Shane will without a doubt be one of the five.

So basically, there are 4 spots for 7 players. Four of them have MC experience. Three don't. Which makes it a good balance IMO.
no johnny archer that makes no sense at all.he without a dout the best usa player besides shane.

lol, I'm not travelling anywhere. If he wants to go to Columbus and play then he can. I'm not staking it but I will bet on it if it goes off. I'll talk to him tomorrow and relay the message.

Hey Chris,

don't you usually ask for a spot against the top elite in the US? I recall you having a spot or requesting one against Morris, Appleton, etc.

Are you saying that Corey Deuel is definitely a step below these guys- that his rotation game has fallen off or are you saying that your game has improved to his level?

I remember the time at the DCC at the old Executive West when Keith and his partner played against Chris Bartram. I can't remember for how much, but they were gambling.

So, as is customery, I moseyed on over to the rail to sweat the match. Along comes Kid Delicious who plops himself right down next to me. He whispers in my ear, "Jennie, I hate to tell you this, but Keith does't have a chance to win this match."

And he was right. It only hurt for a little bit. :D

“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent....”

-CC

" ...But the problem with persistence is the simple fact that you will continue to look like a failure, again and again, in the face of adversity. However, in the end, when you do finally succeed, it will indeed be you who gets to say....

How do you like me now? "
