People were harping on JCIN for years to get scotch doubles of some sort going,
but it was never financially possible. And there's really no tournament that does this
so I'd resigned myself to thinking I'd never see four pros do scotch doubles
(well, outside of the mosconi cup or BB or something).

Now it's finally happening.

I think USA is in deep shit though lol.
You have one of the greatest 8 ball players and deepest thinkers in the game, efren,
combined with one of the best breakers in the world, whose 8 ball break allowed him
to put a 7 pack on alex in their TAR 8-ball match.

Corey is known for his thinking and Mike for his break too.
But I dunno if either one can outperform their filipino counterpart.
Young eyes might help.
 
The BB's versus the DD's...

The two B's versus the double D's....

Bata and Busty versus Dechaine and Deuel...

Should be really good. If the double D's are on their game it doesn't have to be a loser for them... IMO, if they manage to get in the lead first, they will start free stroking and will take it down; however, if they get down by more than two or three games, they may be in trouble.

wow, how will the stream PPV package work for all these CSI events for that week?

I hope loops are provided for each day, since my work schedule often conflicts.
 
Another reason to be excited about the BCAPL events. CSI is putting together a series of events we'll remember for a long time.

I expect the majority will be picking Team PI, but I think it might be closer than many think.

We shall see!

Will some of these players gamble some after hours or if they're not playing in the csi event that day.
 
Efern and Busty are like brothers and have played and won many doubles matches around the world for big money. I agree though...it should be a fun match to watch. Busty and Efern are a riot when one leaves the other one tough, and when it happens they both laugh at the other one saying something like, "See if you can make that one and don't forget to leave me good". JT
 
We at CSI are really excited about all of the special events going on this year.

Not to raise a touchy subject (that was beat to death in another thread), but all of these events were considered when we decided the length of the races.

I think we are going to see some GREAT matches.

They will be available by PPV - or for FREE if you are staying in the RIO during the event!

Don't forget the 144 hours of free lessons from these 16 world beaters!!!
Sometimes we get some criticism for some of the things we do (or not do) - but in the end, I firmly believe this is the best event of the year!

I think you made the right decision on match length. We'd all love to see more, but the players have time constraints, and the average fan has time constraints.

Lucky for mike he has Corey there. When confronted with playing efren in a strategic battle well... Even the best have something to learn.

Doesn't mean team double D can't win though. But team PI playing 8 ball and these two guys are no strangers as partners.

USA has there hands full.
 
Another awesome event from CSI
Though Reyes/ Bustamante is easily best doubles team from their chemistry and knowledge of each other. And they also won workd cup of pool doubles before. Deuel/ Dechaine will be heavy underdog against them. Probably SVB/ Morris or SVB/ Archer or has better chance. Heck even Archer/ Earl has better chance if earl does not self destruct :)
 
This slate of pro events is really something special. As far as I'm concerned, July can't come soon enough. This is going to be amazing!

Thanks to everyone at CSI for putting all of this together. Supporting CSI events has always my pleasure, but it is both my pleasure and my privilege on this occasion.
