Firstly I have to say that I am not anti Marijuana. I don't smoke myself, and I never have, apart from the mandatory University/College try. However, I don't think it is right that it is forbidden, and it should be a decision left to the individual whether he smokes or not.
That being said, I don't like the idea one bit. The last thing pool needs is another sponsor from the "grey" area of human life. First Cigarettes and alcohol, then gambling and now pot? I don't like where that trend arrow is pointing. Are you seriously going to send your children to the "Ganja world open", proud sponsor of the Ganja pool youth program?
Good luck opening a pool hall in a small town after that. I have to tell you that when I visited the US i stopped by a couple of pool halls, and by what I saw, the last thing needed is more drugs, "legal" or not.
Everyone involved with pool at this moment is 1000 years old. Look in the stands at the US open, it's like night of the living dead out there. I don't think pool needs more black eyes, it needs a fresh start and a breath of fresh air, not a puff of white smoke that might disappear at any moment. Youth programs, college teams etc, those are good ideas., "shady" sponsors, not so much.
