Good victory. The break was working consistently. Shot well, got a couple rolls...that's what it takes.

Congratulations.

Congrats to Mike i think Mark made a mistake not choosing him as a Mosconi Cup nominee he should at least have a chance to play imo

He breaks like a beast

Why am I the Colonel? Because I always get the chicken

Do you have any idea what shaft he was using? I know he me sponsored by OB now, but the ferrule was black. Just wondering because I've never seen an OB shaft with a black ferrule like that.

Pretty sure he just painted/ took a sharpie to the ferrule of an OB-1.

yes, he colored it in for what he felt would be better contrast from the ferrule/tip to the cue ball.

he also said he loves the feel of this ob cue.

Couldn't agree with you more . Besides Shane can anyone tell me who is better then mike on the team ? Just curious . An to team USA I truly hope you bring home the cup, but IMO teams USA should be represented by the best players. Players not bring picked because of attitude or other things is a bunch of BS

Please take that crap elsewhere

There are enough threads on who should be on the MC, go argue there please. This thread was to congratulate Mike on an impressive tourney.

Let's keep the Mosconi out of this. It is not relevant.

I just got home from this event.

First and foremost, the fans were the real winners at the Ginky Memorial as Tony Robles (and, of course, Gail) put on another wonderful event. The event produced a solid final eight of Mike Dechaine, Mika Immonen, Adam Smith, Jayson Shaw, Dan Mastermaker, Mhet Vergara, Hunter Lombardo and Frankie Hernandez and they all provided some great pool to the delight of all in attendance.

It was a great win, undefeated, for Mike who, I believe has won five titles in seven weeks, including:

2 Joss Events
The Erie Pennsylvania "No Conflict 9-ball" event
The Quebec 9-ball event
The Ginky Memorial

Mike Dechaine is probably on the hottest winning streak in the Northeast enjoyed by an American player since about 2001, when Ginky was winning everything in sight. I'm sure that those who don't like him personally will, as usual, refuse to give him the credit he is due, but his results speak volumes.

Yes, America's second best rotation games player is having an incredible year and is in dead stroke right now.

The final tonight, in which Mike beat Mika Immonen, was an exciting match with incredible play from both and the match was as close as the 11-10 final score would suggest.

Everyone here in the Northeast is asking about what cue Mike is using and his new sponsor, OB, is getting great value for recently choosing Mike as the representative of their products.

He played good. Mika is still world class but he made enough mistakes to cost him the match.

Congrats Mike on the win, but they are suppose to play even, not one guy getting 2 on the wire. Need to go back to get beat 2 sets playing even or one long race11 to 13 playing even. JMO. Johnnyt
