Anyone noticing that when we quote someone in our reply to their post that lately the quotes are getting the name of who we are quoting wrong?

Does AZ management know about this problem?

maybe it's already been discussed...

best,

CASPER74;4895459]Man, you beat me to it. I really disliked your taste and imagination though. I was just going to go with something like "tom" or "john"

All of you guys beat me to it, I guess I better start paying attention around here. Everything seems to work correctly for me though, I do not notice quoting mistakes at all.

I haven't noticed that but I have noticed whenever I miss a ball it is because the ball hit where there wasn't a hole.

I hope this helps.

Actually, it happens when you are quoting somebody who used the quoting function wrong. Then when you go to quote them, all the quotes are mixed up.

When this happens, you can easily do a copy-and-paste by copying the text you want quotes. Then type left bracket, QUOTE=name of member, right bracket. The paste the test you just copied. Then type left bracket, forward slash, QUOTE, right bracket.

It's kind of HTML code, but it works. I use teh HTLM code a lot with quoting, font colors, et cetera, instead of the icons above the message window. :)

Another issue I have noticed is the brackets [ and ]

When quoting , sometimes one gets deleted and that tells the software something different than intended.

When posting from a hand-held, it is real easy to accidentally select your text to begin where the bracket it, as opposed to just before or after it, and that is what usually messes me up.

How do you expect to get any attention using the word 'attribution'? .. 'thingy' would have been much better!

There is nothing wrong with the "quote" function here. There are simply people who don't know how it works or what to expect when quoting.

Also, you cannot use the "quote" function incorrectly.
