If you want to change the image of pool in the U.S. while using the Mosconi team as an example, good luck. The only people who care about pool are pool players, all of us who are members of the cult.

After the Mocsoni Cup he can go to every pool room in the country and stand at the door checking all credentials.

Make sure all who enter are robots.

No one will be allowed to enter the pool hall if they, don't have a job, school drop out, cutting class, drug user, drug dealer, schemer, mover, street guys etc.

If you are any of the above you cannot enter or play, he will take out his paddle and wack you like Mike Dechaine.

You must be a college grad and wear dockers, with an izod sweater around your neck that says Nantucket.

I commend Mark Wilson on his mission to clean up pool, I am all for it.
I don't care who is on the team, I know the most worthy are not.


I hope the Team plays well and wins, it does not mean I have to agree with Mark Wilson or anyone.

They should have Womens Mosconi Team, I think that would fair better to the general public.

After all, he is supposed to be on the top of the list as instructor/coach/trainer/mentor.
 
I think what a lot of people miss is that 3 rookies were never going to make the Mosconi Cup final 5. From past experience it seems rookies have a learning curve. That leaves a choice between Jeremy Sossei, Justin Bergman and Justin Hall. Tough choice on who stays off but both Justin's seemed, to me, to have an edge on Jeremy.

Ain't that the truth. And that number gets further reduced by pool players who couldn't care less about nine ball.

A player who's name has never once in his life been mentioned for the Mosconi cup team offered to come to CT and play Jeremy 10 ahead 10ball for 5k or more... He could be there in a few hours. Team Sossei said no. Is that fact enough?

So post his name and his record in head up competition in all the major tourney's this year and lets compare how he has done for purposes of the picking of the MC.
I'm sorry if your sour grapes your boy's name never was considered for the cup. Does he have the resume?
Does gambling match up make him a better MC player?
How about we match up Jeremy with your boy, since your a barker, and You and I at the same time.

Like virtually everybody, I don't think the five guys he selected give us out best chance to win, but like most, I think this team has a good shot to win.

Mark is doing everything he can for American pool. I admire him for that.

I like watching Archer play but he's no lock in the Mosconi cup...only 53% winning record. He does more than that by being on the team I know...just saying about his shooting.

If there was a person on this forum that didn't know who made this offer(per your earlier post), they don't know much about pool. He was the only one I could think of...

I swear...how can you not love Chris Bartrum. He's class, fearless and barks respectfully...I would love to see Chris play for MC and positive he would be sponsored by Nautica!! :grin:

Chris is a good guy and plays great. He has class and would never come on here and spew the backdown barking Cleary is doing.
It is too bad Chris' name didn't show up as one of the Captain's 8

Honestly his track record in tournaments speaks for itself. Im not gonna knock anyone select but he can play with anyone on the list in a tournament format. and if you ask a bunch of them if they love the game playing even with him only a few will raise their hands. Bottom line Jeremy has lots of class great player and would represent the country as goodas anyone. Pm me if you want to gamble with him

I don't think Cleary was barking up a match for himself - I just think he was sharing that he knew Bartram at one time said he'd come to CT to play Jeremy some $5k 10 ball.

but you never know, Andrew might jump into the grease, too.

I think I made my point about how I feel that Jeremy was not picked to play for Team USA.

Now it's def time to rally around the boys who will be representing us in Blackpool.

best of luck to these guys and even though it's gonna be an uphill battle for sure, there is always a chance to pull an upset.

And I really want to see John win better than 50%. Close to 100% would be nice. :grin-square: :wink: :thumbup:

Backwords barking? wtf are you talking about? I told it how it is and you wanna puff out your chest and play me. lol my playing skills are not and should not be in question. I Have no dreams of playing in the cup.

Someday I hope to be a mediocre shortstop like yourself Ken but for know, I'm ok with being a banger.
