frustrating that at such a prestigious event you can get rolls like this. could have been worse; could have been hooked on the point.

see at 00:50 - also, can anyone make out what Lee Van says into the mic after contemplating for a little bit?

I think he is saying man, this table sucks and bad enough I'm playing Yukio but also this table, as well.

This was really bad. Damn near rolling into the side pocket.

There have been problems before with the Cyclops balls. I saw it for myself at the pro events put on by CSI this past Summer.

check out 5:25 of the video where Yukio rolls the cueball slowly. the table is obviously not leveled properly.

I played there once, the tables were setup good and are real brunswicks, but fast. The cyclop balls might be coming into play here. They are pretty terrible

Well, yes, but.... The only reason he had ball in hand was because his opponent completely missed a thin safe at the start of the clip. The table giveth and the table taketh away. In the mean time, the players are guessing about what might happen.

The distance between Amagsaki (where the venue is) and Nagano is about
200 miles.....Nagano was the center of a 6.8 earthquake on Saturday.

Could this have affected the tables?

You got me curious, so I looked into it.

The map below is from the Japan Meteorological Agency, and shows the strength of the quake throughout Japan. Amagasaki (highlighted in green to the right of the yellow arrow) only received Magnitude 1 tremors. These are low enough in energy that they can't even be felt by people and can only be detected by a seismograph.

So, no... I think it was the stupid Cyclop CB.

The cyclop cb rolls off. More proof of this is in the Duel/Dechaine v Bustemante/Reyes match. The commentator brings it up (off mic) and says the manufacturer knows about it also. Is anything being done?

The bar I play out of has new tournament used diamonds with the skittle balls and the cb rolls off like crazy.

the problem is not with the tables but instead with the cyclops cue balls.

as dechaine pointed out at the rio during the BCAPL/ US Open 8/10ball

whatever side the cyclops logo is on the cue ball will roll that direction or maybe its the opposite not sure. but ive played enough with these balls to know that the cue ball is JUNK
