read a post. try to comprehend it. then reply.

There should be a message that pops up that tells you to actually read a post before you reply.

Dummies

Ben

I am a dumbshit. I filled the holes that sit under the nose of the cushion on my Gold Crown even though they are technically not in the playing field, not holes under the rail though. I was afraid of a hole getting poked thru the cloth even though the area is between rail groove and rail. I did make tool though to punch little cardboard circles out to keep the Bondo out of the screw heads.

........... what thread is this again?

It's been suggested that we have a banner that pops up before you post that says "The Game is the Teacher" - I think that's what SJD wanted...or was it Lou?........... what thread is this again?

QUOTE=PINKLADY;5015883]i don't understand. i must be missing something. could someone fill me in, so that i can better reply?

I is upon the pool. Has (are) you one? It goes beyond reproach that it were. All is toil under these sun. And then tillandsia.

I almost understand that.....I need to see a shrink!
:yikes:

and I think the TV 4-ball is gay

Drugs are bad, but if pool players need to use them to get that edge then it's got to be ok.
If you don't believe me ask your mom.

I was drug once....damn near fifty feet.

I fell once about 40 feet off a big rock at the top of a steep rock slide canyon...I bounced a couple of times and started a rock slide.

You probably bounced more than me.

You win.

This should pop up everytime someone goes to post a reply.

Would this be too demanding of azers?

One explanation for dark energy is that it is a property of space. Albert Einstein was the first person to realize that empty space is not nothing. Space has amazing properties, many of which are just beginning to be understood. The first property that Einstein discovered is that it is possible for more space to come into existence. Then one version of Einstein's gravity theory, the version that contains a cosmological constant, makes a second prediction: "empty space" can possess its own energy. Because this energy is a property of space itself, it would not be diluted as space expands. As more space comes into existence, more of this energy-of-space would appear. As a result, this form of energy would cause the Universe to expand faster and faster. Unfortunately, no one understands why the cosmological constant should even be there, much less why it would have exactly the right value to cause the observed acceleration of the Universe.

Another explanation for how space acquires energy comes from the quantum theory of matter. In this theory, "empty space" is actually full of temporary ("virtual") particles that continually form and then disappear. But when physicists tried to calculate how much energy this would give empty space, the answer came out wrong - wrong by a lot. The number came out 10120 times too big. That's a 1 with 120 zeros after it. It's hard to get an answer that bad. So the mystery continues.

Another explanation for dark energy is that it is a new kind of dynamical energy fluid or field, something that fills all of space but something whose effect on the expansion of the Universe is the opposite of that of matter and normal energy. Some theorists have named this "quintessence," after the fifth element of the Greek philosophers. But, if quintessence is the answer, we still don't know what it is like, what it interacts with, or why it exists. So the mystery continues.

A last possibility is that Einstein's theory of gravity is not correct. That would not only affect the expansion of the Universe, but it would also affect the way that normal matter in galaxies and clusters of galaxies behaved. This fact would provide a way to decide if the solution to the dark energy problem is a new gravity theory or not: we could observe how galaxies come together in clusters. But if it does turn out that a new theory of gravity is needed, what kind of theory would it be? How could it correctly describe the motion of the bodies in the Solar System, as Einstein's theory is known to do, and still give us the different prediction for the Universe that we need? There are candidate theories, but none are compelling. So the mystery continues.

So the mystery continues.

yes, the "mystery" does continue - did einstein use CTE, TOI or ghost ball?

The OP is making a very valid point !..I know for a fact, there are several VERY active posters on here, that even in a 100 post thread, they never look any further back, than the post they are quoting...Even 'scanning' the topic, is foreign to those internet idiots ! :frown:

My point is, one should ALWAYS try to stay on topic !..;)

Got dam is she hot or what?

Well, it is Significantly more intellectually complex than putting non-pool related threads in their proper places...:boring2:

I have never had a problem with you until now.
Post is AZ related. AZ is pool.
Its black and white, no GreyBalled.

Merry xmas.

A pop up message telling people to read the post before they post would be nice. It doesn't help the few posters on here that haven't given me any reason to believe they can read.
