When shooting 2 railers and or most multiple rail banks...use outside english. It will let the ball turn over for cross table shots and it will help the other ones track to the hole on a better line.Of course you will need matching speed. Works good on long 2 in the sides also ( the outside english). Try it and then get back to me with how it worked. Thanks,John B.

That's funny I generally go he other way. I use a little inside which checks on the first and then opens up a little on the second. The second rail tends to check up naturally and thus the inside (which becomes reverse) helps it not to check up so much. Dead nuts speed either way is essential otherwise the ball doubles back and has no chance.

Mr. Brumback you are of coarse a world class banker so what am I not understanding or seeing wrong? Thx in advance.

I don't know other than I mean outside english is running english and you don't.I might be wrong but I'm just saying how I do it. You don't have to call me Mr....Mr. the whole world calls me Hank:p John B.

Might be more than you want to get into John but have you seen the website www.pool.bz On the right hand side of the home page, they have pool table views you can use to diagram your thoughts. Might help as some people aren't on the same page with you when you describe something as outside or running English.

Or someone could post a pool table image and you could comment on what they post.
 
Tom Worth ( Tom-Tom ), one of the top 1 pocket players in the dc metro area, showed me the same banking system for 2 rail banks off the side or the top rail
about 25 yrs ago. Outside will twist the OB off the second rail to your hole.
Two railers cross corner can be played with either english ( inside or outside ) depending on table conditions, pocket size, impeding OB's, etc.
JB is right on the $$$, and, bank pool is one of the greatest games there is.
It has the least amount of 'rolls' , and takes a great amount of 'skill'.

Yes you are correct (not that you need to be told that),that's why I say "most of the time" or "most multiple rail shots". I just try to give tips and or hints for different ways to shoot some banks that maybe some players have not tried yet. John B.

Thanks,I did look at it. I guess you have to download it then learn how to use It? I don't know if I have that much time,lol You are correct in that I can't explain much about banks very good in writing.If someone wants to put one up I would be glad to try it see how it goes. Thanks for the idea. John B.

The strength of the outside cueing is the shooter can control the hit of the object ball in such a way, as to make it roll a perfect 12 o'clock natural/motion immediately after being struck. The muscle memory of that type of shot is learned much quicker than inside cueing.

Here is what I meant. The second rail will bank short. If I hit it with outside (right spin)...first rail banks long...second rail banks even shorter. If I go table length I need to hit them even harder and the tend to double back. Hitting it with inside makes the second rail open up a bit and fights it's tendency to close up.

I'm pretty sure it'll ALL depend on the speed (or where you 'let go of' ) the throwing effect that you impart on the OB. Ie the inside English uses to widen the 1st rail 'entry angle' on the 2 railer (long rail/short rail) used in 1P to shorten the exit off of the 2nd short rail.. Verse the outside spin /speed combination on the 2 rail (short rail/ long rail) rail track used to widen the exit angle track off of the 2nd rail...... Ball cleanliness/ cloth type, cloth cleanliness.. Humidity etc requires getting the "playing conditions" under your fingers to be consistent.... Practice... Practice. Then practice more.

LOL,I just got done telling someone in a pm the same exact thing but in a few less words.

I miscued when I tried to give that tip by not putting enough thought into. I don't think there is any way I can explain it in writing that would be worth even reading. If there is anyone that wants to try to put a shot
up on one them pic table things,I would try to help on one. John B.

Hey John... I don't think you 'miscued' as bad as you think... I learned it from you... If players want the information it's mostly in your DVD... the rest is in practicing CORRECTLY with speed and spin per equipment conditions. The reason pros are so consistent is they know that shot repetition (recognition) and playing conditions are part of the "Perfect Practice" routine. BUT for the base knowledge most players need a great PROFESSIONAL Reference. I'd say Spend time with the 'pro material' (or pro) as your base reference *(John's DVD is a great starting point ... but you'll shoot even more confidently if you can get the vintage T-shirt- warn even as an undergarment.. lol)

All Joking, aside John's efforts in this community is huge asset here on AZ. If your really interested in getting your bank game better and helping the Pool community get better, support these kinda guys giving back and paying forward with their knowledge. These guys are few and far between.
