Why? What is their relationship/history?
Nothing based on history, just based on their experience and the way they played today

Dennis Orcullo is a nightmare for anybody. I fancy the chances of the Filipinos. So far they have won 3 out of their 3 matches.
I have to give credit where credit is due. Jeff Ignacio finally proved why he is one of the better younger players from the Philippines. Perhaps Mike underestimated him because of his not so impressive performance during his first US tournament earlier. Mike was playing great at the earlier part of the match but Jeff was the better player, at least for tonight. Now we know that he is no push over.

There is no solution that works and everyone is happy. Ref racks, it's the refs fault. Magic rack is "too easy". Rack your own is "cheating". Rack for each other takes 20 min a rack.
The "finger noodle" is just as bad as pattern racking or patter racking is against the rules but they all do it. If they're all doing it just let them do it and enjoy the show.
I don't know, why don't they just not let them touch the one ball at all once they are in the rack and not touch ANY ball once they are out of the rack. that should fix it.

Oh, there's an easy solution. It's called BANN. I would and have never allowed tht B.S. If you let them know that and they know you won't take no B.S. Then they won't do it.
Ask Hillbilly about fingering the 1 ball. He can't play at a few places because of it. Players just have to know that the T.D. means business and they stop all the B.S.
I am not surprised at how Ignacio is playing. I know the guy who manages him as he had him come down to my local pool hall. The guy breaks & runs 6 racks of 10 ball practicing. Misses a ball on the 7th rack & follows it up by running 5 more racks.
The guy just started playing straight pool a few days ago & the dude ran 128 in front of a friend for fun. Scary what he could do if he actually played the game.

It really is that simple.
Touch the 1 ball while racking, and the first time is a warning. Every time after is a loss of game.
Right now it's a lot like putting your finger into an outlet when the power is down. No consequences.
Tournament directors need to turn on the power.
