a few years ago because of these same problems it was decided that the next us open prize fund had to be escrowed. and it was with just a small glitch or two, if I recall correctly.
knowing there is this ongoing track record with payouts, why did the escrow requirement end?
was it because the players didn't demand it?
with regard to Roberta, based on how I have seen her interact here on az, I firmly believe she is a wonderful person and def a big fan of pool.
for Barry to have said that she should have made him aware earlier that certain overseas players had not been paid was not only mean, inconsiderate and unfair.
It was laughable.
I suppose Roberta failed to let him know some players weren't paid on time last year, and the year before, and the year before that, and so on...
On top of being a mean, inconsiderate, pathological liar; he is also a disloyal friend.
The *only* thing that is keeping this 3 ring circus The US Open) going is the players desire to have this once prestigious title on their resume. That is it!
