While we're on the topic of incorrect translations and grammar, my personal faves are Chinglish.
A couple classics:

There's a whole site dedicated to these, and if you speak English even at a decent level (including those who speak English as a second/non-native language), you'll crack up at these:

Personally, I don't even know where I could buy something made in Russia that sells in the USA ?
Ask down the street, at the nearest liquor store, maybe they can help.
Dave
I heard it is made from a very unusual meteor that landed on the Russia-Belarus border some time during the last ice age, so definitely not Earth.
OK. That was a long 8 hours today!! Just got home, and off to league in a few minutes...
This is all I know. I buy it from a guy in Latin America. This guy tells me he buys it from the Ukraine. He knows very little about the operations or who owns what, or where the factory is located, etc. etc.
So, as some folks have said, it could be just marketing, and they did it for the US market?? I don't know.
Or maybe the Ukraine does not speak Russian well ??? I don't know ??
Also, on the bottom of the chalk box is a pool table layout with their motto "The Best Chalk of the World" Sounds like that didn't make it into the correct English translation either ?? But it sounds cool though.
So, to be perfectly clear, I can't say if this chalk is made in Moscow, or in a Gulag by political prisoners, or in the Ukraine, or anywhere else for that matter.
Some folks have said they thought it was made by Blue Diamond or Balabushka.... but my theory on that is why would they make the Magic Chalk BETTER than their main product ? Usually, they would make it a little less good, not a lot better ?
But, really confusing, is even if it is NOT made in Russia, why market it that way? And I mean no offense to our Russian AZB'ers, but it's not like folks think of Russian products and think to themselves, "oh, that's gotta be great quality"![]()
Personally, I don't even know where I could buy something made in Russia that sells in the USA ? There are no Russian cars, stereos, furniture, jets, farm equipment, food products, chocolates, watches, clocks, precision instruments, etc. being sold in the US or Canada that I'm aware of, must be a reason for that ?
So, why Russia of all places? Why not Germany, Switzerland or Japan, or some place known for some high quality stuff?
Funny thing is my son wants to study Russian language and history in college in a few years, and he wants to do one year abroad in Moscow... maybe he can track down the factory for me then![]()
So, maybe I can change the name to "Blitzkrieg Chalk" now made in BerlinOf course, I don't know who to contact to make the change request !!! But, either way, any publicity is always better than NO publicity. Thanks fellers

Russian Kenny makes the chalk in Philadelphia. He used all the money he stiffed people out of to start up a factory in his basement![]()
Haha. Cardigan eats good Ukrainian food.
We have a small grocery store in town, Ukrainian Coop. Smoked Garlic sausage to die for. Double smoked bacon. And of course, Church Lady cabbage rolls and perogies.
During Easter, you couldn't get a coil of sausage if your life depended on it.
You have to be standing there when it comes out of the smoker. Paska plus coffee can bread etc. They make it in large coffee cans. Tall and it spills over the top.

Which reminded me. Stuffed beet leaves.
There is a small town/city, 120 miles North East of us. Predominantly Ukrainian as they had settled the area.
Yorkton. But we call it Yukon.
Cause there is a Uke On every corner.

That's pretty funny.
It seems to me that if you like Magic Chalk, it would be a good idea to purchase a long time supply since the source can dry up quickly. It can't be a big operation to begin with and the Ukraine is VERY unstable at the moment.
ChicagoRJ was gracious enough to send me a free sample but it is still in NY and I am in the Philippines using my Blue Diamond chalk. Once I try the Magic Chalk, if I like it i will get me a large supply.
Duh. Geez, I was not even thinking of the Vodka connection.... swing and a miss on that one. I don't drink Vodka, but yeah, I'm guessing you can buy that just about anywhere... but the real question, is the vodka actually made in Russia![]()
Some is some isn't .... about what should be expected given the global and brand-centric nature of the booze business.
In researching my smart-ass answer I also discovered that Russia exports a lot of firearm cartridges to the USA. Based on a few minutes of checking the Russia-made cartridges are sold such that one might never know and assume they are US products ... again not unexpected  Who in the US would buy Russian ammo if they knew eh ? Also frozen crab and yes, machinery too.
