The shot circle is correct because you ripped it from one of my posts and plopped it on your site.As example, let's look at the very first diagram on my CTE resource page:

Is this diagram wrong?
How about the following diagram on the CTE resource page that was actually posted by you?

Is this diagram wrong also?
Again, I am happy to let people judge for themselves.
Let it go,

Of course it's reasonable. I'd vaporize the group of them in a subtle real-time point by point, PH.Ds and all. That's why.To be fair, spideys proposal sounds reasonable - why don't you go for it?

Obviously there is no way to tell if the conversation is about the weather. But if scientific things are being discussed, if you can't tell the brilliant posters from the idiots, then suffice it to say that you aren't anywhere close to being one of the brilliant posters. It is abundantly obvious who really intelligent people are to the other really intelligent people.
If you know your stuff, you don't need time to answer...you can just freely discuss. As opposed to having to put those words into print with time for thoughtful consideration? That makes absolutely no sense.
Only in Cyberland can a discussion of dumbing down seamlessly transition into one on aiming.
You are exactly right, I'm not writing over anyone's head, and certainly not using any "double talk".....you don't seem to have any trouble deciphering my posts. LoL
The odds and percentages do change according to the players confidence and shot-making abilities.
They also rely on the player's knowledge of "2 way shots," that have a offensive and defensive element.
Also, being comfortable spinning the cue ball brings in another set of variables that you can use to your advantage in the heat of battle.
Pressure also changes the odds, when it's "hill/hill" I may not shoot the same shot as I would if I'm up 10/6 going to 11.
Pool has a fantastic assortment of interesting factors that are not being discussed at times by the commentators.....this isn't their fault, they sometimes don't have time.
Of course the rules also dilute some of these shots and situations, like the "2 way shots," and the "spot shots".
hmmm wow... OK I will give it a shot... YOU are not one of the brilliant posters
Brilliant people generally are smart enough not to call people dumb... It's kind of like saying let them eat cake... If you and PJ think this way I think you should mosey on.... At least Patrick had the balls to post his name... maybe you could as you head for the exit.......

lol - Hi, Jennie, nice to see ya around again...
Actually, I put the punctuation outside the quotes on purpose - it's my little rebellion against Strunk & White. I follow a rule that makes more sense to me: put punctuation inside the quotes only if what's inside the quotes should itself be punctuated (say, if it's a complete sentence) - otherwise the punctuation "belongs to" the entire sentence, not the quoted part.
pj <- free the punctuation!

I "go for it" every day, right here - without lending false legitimacy to sideshow theatrics. To be fair, spideys proposal sounds reasonable - why don't you go for it?

Is that really a transition?Only in Cyberland can a discussion of dumbing down seamlessly transition into one on aiming.
Every time a discussion heats up, the old dividing lines of the forums become apparent. It is a wonder the trolls even bother inventing new strategies. Three simple letters are all you need to rile people up into a frenzy...For or against, it doesn't matter, you will get your fill...
Is that really a transition?

I'm just waiting for barboxes and APA to come up!![]()
Now that you mention it, I personally love 8-ball on a bar box. To me it is the most interesting and fun game to both watch and play, especially at a high level. Sure, top players should run out almost every rack (assuming they have a consistent and effective break), but that's fun to see also (especially when they are forced to creatively solve problems along the way).I'm just waiting for barboxes and APA to come up!![]()
FYI, even though I wrote this, it isn't technically true (per the data on the 8-ball break stats resource page).Sure, top players should run out almost every rack (assuming they have a consistent and effective break), but that's fun to see also (especially when they are forced to creatively solve problems along the way).
