Sad to hear about any billiards-related business failing, but I have to admit that for the many, many times I heard its name and saw the logo (on LOTS of streamed matches)...I never knew what NYCGrind did.

I never could figure out what they did exactly, were they a tournament production company? Film company? Collection of players?
They did have some nice video quality and logo.

They reported primarily on the pool scene in New York City, hence NYC as part of their name. They sponsored streams of local tournaments (Tri-State, Predator) and the last Efren vs Earl match.
Every year NYCGrind has a booth at Super Billiards Expo. Jerry Tarantola knows practically everyone in the pool industry. All the people involved are pool players.
