all of us guys that seem to enjoy pool and have fun
why don't we get about 50 of us together for some pool
stories,meeting the people behind the names

we could invite some of the great cue makers and even some of the great players

get a little pool together and pay for group lessons bring the wives

perhaps I could get a prominent cue maker to attend,take an order for I 10 cues and have a big raffle give away

I would like a cozy family type setting,bring the wife,kids etc

if that would be too hard to arrange we could meet somewhere where we could play some pool

Bob owen owns a pool room in Witchita Kansas

would it be fun to see how cues are made? perhaps his son Gabe could give so,e pool lessons


or we could arrange some $50 games getting 10 -7 from Gabe,or bring another player,or who knows what

something like 2 days of fun or even 1 big fun day


this would require somebody like Matt or one of you guys with organizational shkills to put it together

Maybe John Barton could bring some cases or take special orders

does anybody still have fun any more?

perhaps Will Prout could help out here
 
An in person discussion of CTE and TOI? Sounds amazzzzing...sorry. It does sound fun (I'm just grumpy because people have been so attack-y lately).

I am getting to the point of losing memory

wouldn't it be great to get Ray Martin to teach some stuff to us about straight pool?surely if 100 of us put up $100 each we could pay expenses and get some interesting things

AKA tough action,

you guys know some other guys we could invite them,maybe Mike Massey,or some other former champions

get our pictures taken together,autographed

possibly I could play John Barton some one pocket to help defray my expenses

maybe a straight pool contest or 9 ball b reak contest


does any one want to enjoy an extravaganza like this


I bet Jake Hulsey and Larry Vigas would even get out for a day

Fine, I will take 10-7 from your wife named gabe, for 50 a game. Strange request, but I am pretty accommodating.
 
If Randy Godfrey is in,I would hope that means at least a little practical instruction
from one of the great teachers

what I am hoping is for personal interaction among all of us and what ever players or experts are there


where to do this is up to you guys,since I am thinking of actually interacting I am not thinking a casino environment

If someone wants to take this idea and run with it,I will be happy,i just want to attend and have some fun

Can I come?....I can be the token pedant....
..but I'm not bringing any of my cues around Will Prout.....
...I like my cues, if I sold them. I'd spend the money...then have nothing.
 
It sounds like we could be having some real instructions ,my idea is for grous and just asking questions

There is a local poolroom here with 25 pool tables, 48 lane blowing alley and huge newly remodeled banquet room all in attached building. Poolroom has a private full bar area with fireplace as well that has a capacity of about 50-60 ppl.

Oh' and a several casinos near by with another 5 star casino/resort opening soon.
Hotels are walking distance from poolroom.



If we can get a good attendance I'll give away and raffle a limited edition pool player painting or two some way or another if and when this goes down.... I might even have some pool table cloth to raffle and give away.

From what I read on the forums most of the time it would be interesting to see how every one would get along! Sounds like a good idea though.

Anchorage has one pool hall we can go to, just saying..........LOL
 
Should hold the meeting in Canada. We've got enough room plus those U.S. dollars will go 40% further up here at the moment.

Lets meet in the mountains of Washington or Montana. With a Pool Hall close by of course. Then maybe get a little fishing in. If you say Fishing to John Brumback, he will likely show.

Between Tall Tail Fishing Stories and the same in Pool Stories, can't go wrong there.

We will all have lots to lie about.

Been trying to get PT, Kickin Chicken Brian and Sean L together for a couple of years now.

But please, no TOI. If you invite TOI Guy, the Conservation Officers may have to rescue him from a River or something. Jimmy Baxter is in Bremmerton Washington. That would be a great area to meet up in.

Ive been wanting to do a AZ get together at the new place in North Carolina, we sure have the space and could do it during the day it opens at 10am in the morning and stays open late.

You can more than likely count me in if you do this in the mid-west. At a different .location I may still attend, obviously I would need to find out the location, dates, and any other details.
