Bad red rep to all green?

Seller who I have been following now has 10 greenies? Short time ago was all red? What gives?
No I havent givin said ind. any of the red they deserve.

Hope you gave them negative i trader if you had a bad experience. Though it's tough, it helps others.
 
rep hasn't really meant anything on this board for some time...

too many people have maxed out or super high rep and red rep is only 1% of what a green rep is...

You could have 50 guys red rep bomb someone then one person like PJ or Me or TATE green reps them, and they are super green...

But beyond that, I think that anyone who is maxed out gives green when they try to give red.

yep....i did the same yesterday....with the rep i have and i'm sure you do too, many of us have been repped out for years and years....his user should have just been de-rezzed after that. it was for his little "bash me to save others" that i think was pulled not long after he put it up......told him in the red rep to "get some help" which he sure needs it.....or he's just the worst of trolls...

I just figured out what you guys are talking about. I've got rep that I didn't know I had until I looked around my control panel. That's kind of cool. That and the iTrader rating is helpful for us newbies around here.

The rep system isn't a terribly good measure, as mentioned above, many years ago the system was neutered such that its almost impossible for someone to show red rep. It only takes one person giving the red-repped person a greenie to negate multiple reds. You could have dozens of people red repping someone and have just one or two greens counter it.

For better or for worse, that's how the powers that be chose to manage "rep" here.

It's always nice to go into your USER CP and see that someone had given you a greenie for something you posted, so there is value in the system. It simply is no gauge.

iTrader works effectively, so I've read. I've not done any purchases here, so I have no practical experience with it.
