If you were spending 2,000 on a cue

Hypothetical situation:

If you had decided to spend 2,000 dollars on a cue what would you get?

And you were not going to spend any part of the 2k on lessons, or cases,
or anything other than just...one single cue.

A 2500.00 cue, then I could get my 2K back if I did not like it.

I have 3 cues on order now, all in the 2k-2.3k range. so I'd get cues from these 3 fine gentleman.

Find something you like regardless who builds it and spend the rest on something billiard related lol........the cue won't make you a bette player

Pretty sure the OP said everything possible to prevent this kind of answer.

Freddie <~~~ can't we just want some fancy arrows?

Probably a black pearl cue. Some of the ebony and burl work that guy does is amazing.

Knew it wouldn't take long before someone something lie said this.
Sure enough right here on page ONE....lol

Not looking for a cue that will make me a better player.

Looking at what maker is gonna get my 2k.

Also, not that I'm interested but, just cause I spend 2k on a cue doesn't
mean I couldn't buy lessons.

Before my post I had thought of Lambros, Carmeli, and Rauenzahn but
I've seen some excellent ideas so far.

A South West for 2k????? Is that even possible?
And even if it was I'd probably have to wait for decades before I got the
weight and wrapless that would match each other in one cue.

Rather go for a new one and go on someone's waiting list and get everything
the way I wan it.

I've done a lot of research for exactly this type of proposition. Cory Barnhart, hands down. He has roots with Scruggs. Scruggs had his roots with Danny Janes & Bill Stroud. Not to compare the guy to a thoroughbred horse or anything, but you can't get better pedigree than that. He has no website and by all appearances probably has no need for one. His cues are virtually impossible to find online because they hardly stay in stock anywhere.

I have chubby, stout hands. I have always prefered the feel of Joss & Scruggs cues, not so much with other widely esteemed name brands. Boom! -Z-

used-new

In today's market I would definitely buy used in new condition for 2 grand used you
can get a monster cue if you take your time and shop around.

I couldn't be happier with my Andy Gilbert. He is very reasonably priced too, so for $2k you could get something rather fancy. Great guy, great to deal with.
