If we win at least 4 of those matches, we can go into the 3rd day 5-5. That is wishful thinking though. It will probably be 6-4 or 7-3 in Europe's favor at the end of Day 2.

When you say a team that won got all the rolls, you are blatantly suggesting that said rolls affected the result.

Biggest roll went to Rodney anyway, rolled off by about 5" ;)

\And the middle pocket must also be loose, it moved about 6 inches on it's own.

Lmao, yeah that 5 ball miss by Rodney in the side was pretty bad. He also jacked up on a 1 ball that was nearly hanging in the pocket a table length away and missed it bad, he had enough of the cue-ball to not have to jack up. I don't know why they're trying to be fancy and out-shoot Europe when they need to be more methodical and keep it simple.

Were we watching the same event? It was even noted from the booth that the US was getting more bad rolls.

That was Jerry who said that who was doing a terrible job of commentating, overly rooting on and feeling the pain of the USA in anyway he could. Even his partner said "Jerry did you just sigh. Yes I think you just sighed"

Yes, Forsyth's comment about the rolls nearly knocked me off my chair. Second most absurd line by a commentator to "the young players on Team USA will be looking to Rodney Morris for leadership."

Team USA will shine today!

Today is a different day. Team USA will shine.

If Europe wins Day 2 and it finishes on Day3, Europe would win 11-4 or better and that will be Captain Wilson's worst result under Wilson Administration cos his worst was 5-11 loss in 2014
Not surprising that Chamat left Shaw off Doubles on Day2 cos Shaw wasn't performing in Doubles play on Day1 (rack 3 missed 2 in side, rack 5 fouled on countersafe giving up BIH, rack6 sold out 5 for Sky/Berg to win rack and match )

LOL, Niels was stunned when interviewer (likely based on commentator comments) mentioned that he had lucky roll in final rack when he was clearly playing 2 way shot

I'm crossing my fingers and my toes! I hope they come out of their stupor today or it will be another embarrassing year for Team USA. They need to at least win 3-2 today, if that's possible. A 3-2 loss will put them down 7-3 and spell possible doom on Day Three, unless they shorten it to only three matches. A 4-1 loss and you can write them off again.

Sums up perfectly the quality of Jerry Forsyth's commentating skills.

I know you are referring to when Jerry says, "He didn't break out the eight ball." That was a clear mistake not recognizing that the nine was dead off the eight and shouldn't be broken up. I want you to know that we all make mistakes in the box from time to time (I'm famous for confusing the three and five ball, since they look so similar on the monitor). Jerry is a good commentator. I know because I've worked with him many times. I suspect his view of the table is not the best and he's winging it in there sometimes. It's about all you can do when you are using monitors to make the calls. You lose all perspective on the table. That's the reality of doing this job when you are not anywhere close to the table and can't look directly at it. I've lobbied more than once for a better location and elevation of the commentators booth with mixed success. I can remember working where one of the large cameras is stationed in front of our booth, blocking our view of half the table. Give him a break okay. It looks easy until you have to do it.

USA shows flashes of great play, but Europe just comes with the more consistent play year after year. I think we needed to come out of the gate strong to have a chance, but we didn't. In the words of the great Roy Orbison, "It's oooooooovvvvveeeerrrrrrrr"

Nope, I was referring to the fact he BURPED live on Sky Sports. And no, Jerry is definitely not a good commentator. He's never been good, even when he was younger and his eyes and mind worked better. He just doesn't understand the game at this level at all.

It was mentioned by at least one other commentator.

Jeez that 5 ball fluke and then q ball knocking every single ball on the table and landing perfectly for the 6 with angle... things are not looking good for USA haha
