Still here. I think there was an influx around 2005 from RSB (caused by one idiot) and I was on the tail end of that.

Smorgie is who invited me to join. We were all members of RSB on Google Groups, but it is an unmoderated group. Fast Larry ruined it with vulgar writings, and most, if not all, RSB-ers emigated to AzBilliards Land.

RSB?? Search turned up nothing.

RSB --> https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/rec.sport.billiard

It was Brady Behrman who told me about RSB. It was my first experience posting on the Internet. When you posted there, the posts did not appear right away. They would not appear until 3 or 4 hours and sometimes the next day. I was still using a dial-up modem at that time. Have times changes or what?! :grin-square:

Maybe if people's posts didn't appear for a few hours, it would cut down on the negative back-and-forths or "flame threads," as they're referred to.

RSB had a click of folks that were very close-knit. I met some very nice people from RSB when I went on the road. :)

I wonder what the social media of 10 years from now will be. We have FB, of course, but will there be a new medium? Time will tell.
