In some big matches I have watched Scott play, I have never heard Scott's opponents complain about skidding, roll outs, etc. I always hear Scott complaining. And secondly if there were adverse conditions at play because of equipment, they affect both players. Good players adjust.
And yes many will disagree with you that Scott is the better player.
Well if what you said is correct, don't you think Dennis would just sit and watch? Of course he will up his game. But because Scott is playing poorly then Dennis would just continue what he is doing. The way I saw the match, Dennis won with some superb pocketing skills. But, I wonder if the outcome would have been different if the dozen skidding balls that Frost shot had gone in?
I noticed Scott hit the object balls with more speed than Dennis and on those shots even the commentators were saying the ball skidded.
Imagine a dozen times Scott would have continued his run, but instead Dennis was given a golden opportunity to score.
Not counting the 3 end rail banks that rolled in towards the middle of the table that Frost shot, I see a 12 game potential difference. 12 games Frost would have won. That would have set back Dennis's score 12 games to 28 and added Frost's to 40.
Many will probably disagree with me, but I still think Scott Frost is the better player.

Scott should try playing one-pocket in a room with roosters up in the rafters.Took the words out of my mouth. Part of the game is adjusting to the conditions re: balls, cloth, rails, pockets and table rolls. Some players do this better than others. The Filipinos have to be good at this as conditions vary widely from room to room and day to day.

Sorry but that is what a race to 40 is all about. If you think after that many games the issue is with the equipment or conditions then that is flat out wrong. If Scott as having issues then he needs to adjust for them.
If the race was shorter then maybe you have a case, but it was 4 days and 40 games, and he lost by 11. That is a pretty big gap.
If Scott lost because he got all the bad rolls I'm sure Scott and his backers will put up another 100k and play another set.
