Getting a private lesson from Dennis at Jay's was one of the best experiences of my pool playing life. I highly recommend it. It's not necessarily about mechanics, it's about position play, safeties, and strategy. He does a great playing lesson.

I've heard nothing but raves from players that took a lesson from Dennis O. Johnnyt

what level(s) of player would be best suited for his lessons?

Dennis has worked with players of all skill levels, from beginner's to advanced. We have had some pretty good players over here who are anxious to scrimmage with Dennis. He lets them run a rack or two and compliments them on their playing. Then he lowers the boom and hits them with four or five racks, talking all the way through about proper position and how and when to use English on the cue ball. That's when they really know they are with a Master Class player.

Haha, you aren't lying.

Dennis can hang in all day at half speed, can't he?

From what I have heard Dennis is good with all skill levels even if you play better than Dennis he can still learn you something.

We'll, heck, I wasn't even gonna bother with it but if he can still learn me something in that case...

That's the instruction I would like.

Chris

This is what I would want out of a lesson.

Off topic, but I wish I could put Shane in the event. Not the favorite, but good enough for all that added money.

Dennis is such an amazing player. I wish that I could get a lesson from him someday.

Dennis tailors each session to fit the player and his needs. He is very flexible and responsive to requests to work on specific areas of their game.

Jay ask Dennis if he can tailor a session for me and meet me at my house in Colorado. Tell him I will pay his usual hourly wage and he gets a free mini cue, the cues have gotten much better since the one I made you.

You might have to go a little further (on top of that nice offer), and pay for his plain ticket, unless he is conveniently in your area at some point of time. Nice offer though.

He's in Iowa now, probably as close as he'll get to Colorado this trip. Next stop, California!
