I have been using Photobucket to host the photos I show on AZB for around 12 years. I just received a notice from Photobucket that stated they no longer allow third party hosting of my photos through them, so I can't upload to AZB unless I pay $39.99/month. What other photo hosting services are available for free?

Imgur is free and easy to use.

More info is located in several of the other threads about your same predicament:

My suggestion is stop linking to 3rd party hosting sites because as soon as the new one you choose goes out of business, or starts charging like photobucket did, or you decide you want to cancel your account with them for any reason, well then you are back in the exact same boat you are in now with all your pictures having disappeared.

Not to mention that it sucks for everybody else who looks at an older thread only to find empty boxes where photos used to be. Solve all these problems by just uploading your photo directly to AzBilliards (instruction in first link above) and it is there forever unless you intentionally delete it and it really isn't any more effort to do.

If you have a decent broadband connection at home with a decent upstream rate, you should consider getting a NAS

https://www.synology.com/en-global/products/DS216

It will come with alot of software which includes a Photostation web application for photos, videos etc. You also get a free subdomain name which you can relink to if you already have your own name already.

The great thing about a NAS is it can also be your family backup server for backing up your precious data. You can get a decent one like the DS216 or DS216+ which will set you back around 300 to 350 USD ( without harddisks ). In the long run, you will save alot of money and wont have to worry about movng precious photos from site to site or about the host's constantly changing policies.

You will have full control over user usernames/password/public/private and you can even allow other people to upload their stuff to it.

I have 3 NASes for my personal websites and I can say its the best thing I ever purchased. Hosts are a rip and if they are free, there are usually lots of catches like annoying adverts, poor performance, reformatting your images to poor quality and privacy issues.

Second this as well. Great product if you want to be self sufficient. I have the DS1512.
