Why isn't TV Mike a Gold Member?

The "For sale forum" argument is a moot point. It is a forum for selling.
I compared his streaming service to the other streamers above.
Some are gold members. Big Truck.
Fast Lenny for example, may promote other products but he more than offsets that with his great free high quality streams.

I'm glad you are happy with Mike's product.
But Mike just flat out ignores people with valid questions. Potential customers by the way.
He comes off very arrogant in his chat room comments too.
I think he deserves any criticism that comes his way.
you comment that Lenny 'more than offsets'. For you, that is reasonable justification. Others will have a different definition about what is reasonable and perhaps mike does it reasonably too, by others' definition.

Any sour taste dialog left with you is too bad, but for you to get stuck on that kind of speed bump is kinda all on you and after a point, you will be on that bump all alone.

Yuh know?

Looks like we may need someone new for a tournament i got coming up.. free??? Not answering questions?? Advertises on other peoples forums like bergman wanting to gamble talking about shaw and shane.. its simple support the site if your promoting something. If he was in the right he could easily defend himself of this thread. He chooses not to dig the hole any deeper i believe..

.....

You know I don't sit here on Azbilliards and bask in the drama. There is too many negative things going on in this industry than to try to feed into it. I am trying my heart out to be positive and to defend the industry's interests by protecting videos, creating revenue and sharing the revenue and offering superior delivery network for billiards. Members of my platform who generally know my systems rules.I have recently started promoting my platform through pro players to help them generate some means of give back and hope to do more of this in the future.

Billiardnet.tv produces two levels or types of broadcasts for members.

OPEN CHANNEL streams – Open channel streams are FREE streams that just require a user to have any level of registered account including a FREE account. – We recommend this for all events that are of average or local, or any league players.

MEMBERS ONLY CHANNEL streams – Members only streams require the user to be any level of PAID subscriber to our subscription model to gain access. This allows us to generate revenue and promote our superior platform for watching large money added pro level type of events or action challenges.

This was a members only channel broadcast as most of them will be when traveling.

Technically the logo and graphic that says free on low quality is stipulated for open channel streams. However it is a FREE broadcast regardless if you are already a member. You don't pay to watch an event, you pay to be a member. We don't do pay per views here.

Occasional I will try to keep up on event posts with brackets and some matches but during an event I put most of my promotion into Facebook.

If you ask a question to me directly through any one of my Facebook accounts or my platform then you usually get me directly responding immediately because thats where I am.

I am struggling, I am always struggling, if it wasn't the fact that I consider this my art and it brings me happiness to produce and promote events and meet people all over and be a "goto guy" more than a business per se I wouldn't even be doing it. No human being with any sense whatsoever would struggle through this industry and do what I do. I do what I can and sacrifice much, it's like frodo bearing the ring of power this job would destroy anyone else but somehow I can manage to do it.

To answer your original question honestly I didn't even know much about being a GOLD member is? What are the benefits of being a GOLD member? What does it cost and mainly will it increase my visibility in the industry and perhaps gain me more long term members of billiardnet.tv?

I would also suggest not to get into a pissing match comparing or get into comparing other peoples interests or business models it's not good for morale. Just trust me on this one you probably don't want to do that.

If you excuse me I don't want to spend an hour on this post. There are promotions and events to book that need my help.

You get a discount when you go Gold for two years. :)
Yup. Less than $3 / month.

It's hard to beat Big Truck, POV, and Lenny. They are constantly on their game.
100%

Big Truck and Lenny are PPV supported websites. Billiardnet.tv is primarily a membership supported website with a few individual event sponsors. Regardless of where TVMike gets his income, it is his choice whether to be a gold member or not. Shaming someone who tries to both support our game directly and indirectly achieves nothing positive. Mike does his best with the talent he has. Perhaps if the OP doesn't like how Mike runs his business, he should find a different streaming supplier!
Lyn
Doing a little research on the site and found: Big Truck and POV are listed as ADVERTISERS on AZB. Even better.
Saying Lenny is PPV supported is ABSOLUTELY FALSE. He has always provided 100% free streams.

The lack of dialog is what really prompted the post originally.
Got bumped to the top again so I'm back for a quick response.

When someone asks a question in YOUR post and you ignore it that's bad.
When someone asks a question in YOUR chat ("your platform") and you choose to laugh it off, that's bad.
It sounds like you could use some customers adding $10 to your bottom line every now and then.
Gold member can cost as little as $2.91 / month. It shows that you care to give back to the site that you promote on, and get customers from.

The question is.

I don't know maybe I'm confused but what does one get for being a gold member? At Az billiards What benefits or privileges does one get in exchange for x amount of money per month?? Or is this just basically a donation?

Billiardnet.tv members get access to watch upwards and exceeding of 5,000 matches and events the original netflix of pool not available anywhere else, access to watch LIVE events, in 4 different qualities mobile adaptive streaming, sometimes multiple tables. The ability to have your own streaming channel to generate money for your work at times I even pay streamers to produce. Billiardnet.tv also profit shares with EVERYONE who chooses to promote the platform with residual profit sharing. So thats what you get for $9.99 a month.

The way I see it there is no reason why we shouldn't have thousands of members really I just don't get it. Sure the site needs some improvement but I do the work of 5 people really.

TVmike...Surely you know how to read. The information on benefits provided by being a gold member here are clearly stated. More than anything, those of us who are gold members do so because we choose to SUPPORT this website. Can you afford $.10 per day, to support the best pool website on the planet? I think you can. The question is, will you?

I saw this guys stream a year or so back. Was some low quality "money game" that looked like it was happening in someones bedroom. If thats the sort of "quality" offered then no thanks! Im gladly paying big truck right now to watch his stream. Hes a great guy that offers good prices and never has been the subject of any drama that i know of. Id rather spend my $10 a month on table time because the play will be better than what ive seen on mikes "streams". I wish the guy nothing but the best but i will not be a customer. Ive seen the comments and arguments that he gets in the middle of. Not the type of person ill throw my money at.

aaaa

Exactly the reason why I don't post here on anything except stream notifications. People want to start pissing matches it's very negative. It seems this site is full of liberal minds really because people who argue like this based on emotion not based on logical fact or critical thinking and examination of the details of reality. It's really tempting but I'm not going to fall for the bait.

Have a great day.

Liberal minds? Why try and make it political? Just FYI, Im the most far right conservative you'll ever meet. Nice try. Ill be patiently awaiting your next rebuttal.

My only experience with TV Mike was not a pleasant one. I know this post has nothing to do with why he does not want to support AZ. I signed up for his service several years ago and after a while decided I did not want it anymore. That is when my issues with his service began. There was no link to unsubscribe and I was tired of getting all his emails about events I had zero interest in. I attempted to block him using my email only to have him use a different email to send on. I then sent him many, many requests to have my e mail deleted from his service and never received a reply. I did continue to receive his spam emails. Finally I gave up and changed my e mail completely and ended his ability to spam me. I vowed to never, ever subscribe, watch or have anything to do with his business again. JMO!

Well put Scott. He's definitely not good in the "comprehension" department.

Probably have to wait a while. Was pretty dumb for him to go with that angle.

Thinking the OP must be named Francis.
Francis Sawyer????

Great information.
Would make it a PITA if you wanted to do a $10 spot here and there.

Previous iterations or versions of my platform the email list was built into the website just like the AZbilliards website. It was up to you to login to the website and change your email preferences. There is no spam about it and never was, I sent emails out about events to people who were members of the website if you never changed your email preferences the site would have no idea to know if you wanted to get emails or not. You set your own preferences just like you do here, it was running the same platform actually. So on the old site you either changed your email preferences or deleted your account.

My newest and current platform I contract out the email work however they are interconnected, at any time you want to jump out of emails however you simply unsubscribe from the list, their is no human interaction. It's really simple actually.

--- I don't really know where people get the idea that I don't want to support something in billiards, I mean what the hell do you think I do for a living? I work and live in the billiard industry. I asked a question what does someone get for being a paid member? The only answer I can get out of anyone is it's basically a donation?

Nobody can answer that question?

Without taking a side on the issue, let me explain many people's thought process about this. Many people don't think that advertising (which is what it is when you let people know about your streams that cost something to view) belongs in the main forum at all, and I believe the official policy of the website owner/administrators is also technically no advertising in the main forum. But when someone supports the website by becoming a gold member (small yearly fee), everyone tends to more readily overlook very small amounts of advertising that aren't terribly blatant in the main forum. Also, it is even worse in most people's eyes when somebody only comes here to advertise and never contributes to any of the discussions outside of that. It makes people feel used.

Thanks, I don't see much there really but were talking like $35 a year something. So if I became a gold member it might save me the ridicule from people publically on here. I will think about it.

Ironically if AZbilliards used billiardnet.tv to produce shows and other gigs the profit sharing residual income for them probably would be about 10 times that per month being how large and influential the site is.

Now that's something to think about.

Nobody is going to help peddle your garbage stream. Good luck with your business. We will see if your'e even around in 5 years. You wont be. Being rude to potential customers is a business model ive never encountered. How someone so stubborn, hard headed and just flat out wrong has survived this long is the biggest mystery of all.

----

Well how wasn't it your fault?

You saying it's my fault that you feel you were being spammed? You were a member of my platform and didn't change your email preferences.

So how is that my fault exactly?

Well heres the thing PoolPlaya. I never posted in the main forum trying to sell anything. This guy makes a main thread with the intention to disparage me and then people just jump all over it besides the few who had nice things to say about me.

Thats exactly what I am talking about, this site not for friendly discussion or to build more of a community really. It's about people talking crap about one another. It's sad really.

The people that know me would tell you I am one of the most loving caring and passionate individuals they would ever meet. It's all bullshit negative attention here. I didn't do to this guy or these people.
