the insanity emanating from this forum lately is mind boggling

Sorry to ask........
What is tap, tapping?

you may see this in poolhalls usually more from the oldtimers (like me) acknowledging a great shot from your opponent by tapping the bottom of your cue 3 times on the floor, tap, tap, tap.

A custom I hope will continue on forever, btw. :)

So it's been adapted here electronically to acknowledge a great post.

best,
brian kc

Brian we don't see it as much in Colorado but there are a few who tap cues or snap fingers three times. Last July I was at Amsterdam's and the young crowd had picked it up and were over using it. Like you said it is meant for your another players "great shots".

In the California pool halls, I hear that the "tap-tap-tap" is now considered "triggering".

They use "jazz hands" for a great shot.

Here’s justinb386’s latest purchase of a Mezz Cue on OBM.
His being “poor” routine is now totally shattered.

Justin Bryson on OBM: Here is a picture of the Mezz cue, that I am getting in the mail (hopefully soon). I do not know anything about the cue, but I really love the looks of it. I think I got it for a very fair price. I have no idea on the value of the cue though.
