Griff's is one of the nicest rooms in the country and if there is any action it usually takes place there. Mandalay Bay now charges $12 a day to park there. The closest free parking is at the MGM.

Are there any Willie Mosconi descendants ? And have any of them ever attended a Mosconi Cup match? Just curious.

I'll be playing league at the Cue Club Monday through Wednesday evenings. Should make it to Griff's both Thursday and Friday evenings. This year I'll be wearing my new VNEA All Star jacket. It even has my name on it just in case I forget it (my name that is). I'm really old you know!

Last time I visited Griff's, Ernesto had just finished installing a 3C table. The 6 x 12 Brunswick snooker table was gone though.

Just a heads up for those of you already in Vegas. Dennis O. is playing JRB (aka Jean Robaire, the high rolling poker player) a big $$$$ match currently at Griffs. They played yesterday and Dennis scrapped out a first day win. They will be playing again today. Wish I could run over there but I have more pressing issues to take care of here.

Jean-Robert Bellande is a heck of poker player. So, I'm guessing he has some knowledge around a pool table, at least enough not to "give it" away ??
 
Here’s a thought...

Have an AzB’ers meet-up and “amateurs” Mosconi Cup-style tournament between European and USA AzB’ers. That could be a good time... right?

That would be cool and take some planning. I imagine team USA fans would own team EURO fans......at least for the first 11 years or so;)

There are usually big screens up on the overhead light fixture. I think exactly what shows up depends on the production company. This is a new venue for the event. Sometimes the combined view from a ways back is better than the front row where you can't see the replays and closeups.
 
I'm going, and I'm getting really excited now that it's less than a week away! A buddy of mine and I are going to carpool out from Colorado Springs, and will probably be spending almost the entirety of every evening in a pool hall. Back in 2015 it seems people were hanging out mostly at Pool Sharks and at Good Timez, but my guess is this year Griff's will be the most popular hangout. If you see the middle-aged guy with a shaved head in a long cue, come on over and say hello. Also, I have three great seats for sale in Section 1 row J if you know anybody looking.
 
Mark Griffin and the CSI staff will be there.

So is Gary Lutman from Griffs.

Can’t wait to meet up with buddies, can’t wait to see Team USA battle Europe, can’t wait to play at Griff’s, can’t wait to get acquainted with some AzB folks...

It’ll be my first Mosconi trip and first visit to Griff’s so I’m game if anyone wants to exchange numbers to meet and greet or play some cheap action, just PM. :)
