Still laughing here in the Pool Capital of the World, my friend.

Thank you very much for reading the posts I share.

The genius is not only being able to see a shot like that, that only would come up once in a blue moon, but then being able to make the ball and perfectly execute position with it.

I've done that before and have seen it done for decades.
None the less still well executed.

It's not an easy shot unless you shoot it often. If I practice it once in a while I can do it 8n a game but if I don't practice somewhat regular I miss badly.

I bet efren never practiced that shot but still drilled it.

That is one of the differences between players like them and us. There is not enough hours in a day to practice all he "does" in game situations.

Raw talent, if there ever was any.

Another great Reyes shot under pressure!

The concept of the shot itself has been around for a long time. Here is a 1985 video of Grady teaching it.

I remember a story of an old straight pool match, and I want to say it was Joe Balsis playing. He got dead straight in on the break ball, and the ref called safety, or the lone ball then safety (guys like CB Kelly would sometimes anticipate the next shot and call it for the players). This pissed the 'Meat Man' off, so he got down on the shot, jacked up a little and cheated the pocket. The cue ball flew almost straight up in the air several inches, landing on top of the stack, spreading them wide. Balsis continued his run to 150, and IIRC ended up winning the tournament.

That was some shot and Mark called it!

Definitely a great shot, but the fact Mark called it beforehand takes away just a bit of the magic for me.

The best Efren shots, imo, are the ones that take everyone by surprise.

I'd say this shot rates higher on the difficulty scale than the magic scale.

Jay, top 3 most amazing/creative shots you've ever seen either while calling a match or as a spectator??

I'm guessing the Shane double stacked bridge jump to make the shot and get position vs Orcollo in the US open finals is one of them.

Amazing shot by Efren Reyes

One observation after watching the video several times. Mark Wilson states that Efren is putting 'left-hand' English on the cue ball, but after watching the cue ball's path after striking the head (short) rail, there is no question that he actually put 'right-hand' English on the cue ball...!!!
