One Pocket Shots

What am I seeing here? I can't figure out what happened after watching this clip for several minutes.

I don't think he jumped the cue ball it looks to me like he got lucky with a slight kiss. It seems like he overcut the bank slightly.

Love these... always check the stack for a dead one... that combo bank by T
was deadly.

I hope the guys I play are reading this.

Very entertaining, but it's pinch and squeeze, be a f'n tightwad, bore the guy to death one-pocket for me.

Well I'll be damned... I set up the shot on my table, and there is no kiss at all. Even if I hit it high ball and pocket speed. I must have the placement off a hair, or maybe my opinion of when a kiss is on is incorrect, ha ha. I'll make a video later.

Above is my attempts at Grady's beat the kiss shot. At least with the exact positions I have the balls in, there is no kiss. First shot was center low, medium speed. Second and third shots were center high, pocket speed.

And this youtube link is Grady's full shot from the match if you want to see it outside of the giff. The time stamp is 1:24:40 incase the link does not take you right there.

The bit of right and a bit low is to control whitey...
...see Grady’s path for the cue ball?

I think that given the starting position of the balls, this shot is more makable with some equipment vs others.

Undoubtably, Grady was tuned in to what was "on" in terms of "the edge of possible" on this table with these balls. And as others have pointed out, he got lucky with a mini-kiss that might have actually corrected the angle of the OB towards the pocket.

Regardless, to his credit (and was his wont), Grady doesn't miss a beat, acts as if everything is perfectly normal, and turned out just as he planned, lol.

I had to scrub through the whole video to find the shot. When I did, I went back a few shots just for the hell of it. He shoots the last 5 shots of the game, including some tricky ones, faster than some pro players take to shoot a straight in 9 ball! ha ha.

It's funny how everyone claims 1pkt is sooooo slow. 9ballers airstroking and getting up and down on the shot multiple times isn't slow it's effn suffocating:sorry:
