Was that fast enough for you? A whole 2 days after the tournament finished at 4AM Sunday morning :grin:

They don't want to show the payouts in total. Where does all the money go ?
The bank pool took in over $64k + ( not including the buybacks which they have
always kept). The winner got $10k. Where did the other $54k go ? How far down
did they pay ? Did they take money out of the prize pool ? We don't know.
Every player ( independent contractors ) should know what they are working
for !!

Thank you Stu. It's nice to see confirmation on what I was told. Actually an error in my favor was made by the player I was most interested in. I got overpaid by $100. I can straighten that out later. Of course I provide free room, lodging and food so maybe he took that into account.

9-ball, I did a quick calculation and prize money for 1-16th totaled $61K.
Bigfoot challenge, 16K entry, 16K added.

The tone of your post made it seem like DCC is out to make money off the players.

@$200 entry per event is cheap. The big expenditures are cost are from traveling and lodging to DCC.

I think my post stands. Where is the breakdown in banks, 1 hole, and 9 ball ? how much of the 64k + in banks was paid out ? Nobody knows ( especially the players that played in the tourney ). I've played for 45 + years ( mostly gambling ). I would never play if I didn't know what I could win. Why are they hiding the payouts ?? What could you win if you placed 20th, 25th, etc ??

sjm posted links below to all of those divisions for 2019 already. Here is the Banks for example -- these results are all RIGHT HERE ON THE AZB WEBSITE lol:

Maybe you are waiting for someone else to do the math for you and add up the payouts??

Banks: $60,300 paid to 132 players (if I cut and pasted right into Excel).

Technical note: do "paste special" and select text and each field will be separated properly.

(Note: edited since Excel is buggy for Autosum. Microshaft strikes again.:frown: If someone wants to check my new numbers, please do so.)

While I'm at it,

One pocket: $66,250 paid to 102 players
Nine ball: $86,050 paid to 94 players
Master of the table: $25,000 paid to 3 players
Bigfoot: $32,000 paid to 4 players
14.1 Challenge, ~$27,000 paid to ~10 players

The total total I get (ignoring minis and action) is $296,600

The results of the 14.1 George Fels Challenge were sad, to say the least.
Mika was undefeated, waiting for SVB and Lee Vann Corteza to play their match. The winner of that match would face Mika for the title.

Unfortunately, SVB and Lee Vann decided not to play their 14.1 semi-final match, but rather to concentrate on 9-Ball.
So the Championship was given to Mika. He won $7500.

Lee Vann got a bye in the 9-Ball Championship and Shane went down and out in 9-Ball. Later, Lee Vann also was eliminated in 9-Ball.

It was sad to see 14.1 treated again like a stepchild at DCC.

After the event, Dennis Walsh and Bill Maropulos announced that they will no longer run the 14.1 event at DCC.

That's a shame because it is by far my favorite event at the DCC.

Banks ring game, each player puts in 1,500 x 6 = 9,000, 3K added.

Payout is 8K first and 4K for 2nd.

So far this gives:

Here are the Straight Pool payouts:

14.1 challenge
Mika Immonen $7800
Shane Van Boening 3850
Lee Vann Corteza 3850
Joshua Filler 4100
Niels Feijen 2500
John Schmidt 2100
Chris Melling 1900
Dennis Orcullo 1900
Konrad Juszczyszyn 200
Marek Kudlik 100
Total -- $28300

There was $21,000 added and 73 entries at $100 each. Filler got a total of $2300 just for his record run of 285 plus $500 in daily prizes.

This increases the total payout to $309,900 at DCC 2019 excluding the Minis.

So if I have read your posts correctly, Bob, the tournament paid $23,900 and the high runs paid $4,400 (of which $2,500 went to Filler -- $2,000 + $200 + $300).

And is this how the tournament ended?
- Immonen played and won 2 matches ($7,500)
- Corteza and Van Boening played and won 1 match, but did not play a 2nd ($3,750 each)
- Feijen played 2 matches, a win and a loss ($2,500)
- the other 4 players (Filler, Schmidt, Melling, Orcollo) lost their first match ($1,600 each)

Lee Van split 2nd/3rd for $3,750.00 plus $100 for high run money = $3,850.00
Joshua Filler 5th-8th for $1,600.00 plus $500 in daily, $1000 for event and $1,000 for all time money + $4,100.00
Niels 3rd-4th money = $2,500.00
Schmidt 5th-8th money $1,600.00 plus $500 in high run money = $2,100.00
Mellling 5th-8th money $1,600.00 plus $300 high run money = $1,900.00
Dennis 5th-8th money $1,600.00 plus $300 daily run money = $1,900.00
