Please Post pic's of Your Real Balabushka's

That is I was looking for. I just thought that some of the more fortunate ones who does own real Bushka cues would maybe post some pic's and we could enjoy seeing them and appreciate the work of George, But no , people start flippin out man . I mean this is a real pool forum were we talk about not inviting people over because of the virus and were is so and so and lot's of more cool stuff to talk about , no we don't have time for real Pool cue pic's . That would be defensive and Ignorant !

First, I made one of the smart ass comments and shouldn't have. My apologies. 2 fact is a lot of old bastards like myself are dying off, it really is good to see others take an interest in billiards and billiards history. Truth is if it wasn't for newbies asking questions today no one would care tomorrow.

There are a few things I learned about forums, not just on AZB

1 Don't just post every time a random thought comes into your head, you will soon annoy people and end up getting trolled in the replies when they see stuff and think "here we go again", if you are lucky people will just block you and ignore you, if you are no lucky you will be dealing with a lot of teasing. If you post 5 times a day about "cues that Mr White used" "cues that look like those Mr White used" "what type of shoes did Mr White use while playing" "Do all those cues look like those Mr White used" "Anyone seen this tissue Mr White blew his nose in?", this happens.

2 Need a thick skin and sense of humor to deal with the replies, take nothing personally, including my examples in 1 LOL

3 Don't be a paranoid schizophrenic or be high or drunk when posting since that will lead to just crazy shit we will make fun of (see most posts by Danny Harriman for examples)
'Sticky' worthy my man. Couldn't agree more.

4 If you need good ammo to use against Black-Balled, make fun of his men with tight pants on bicycles obsession in the funny pic thread

5. Pump the brakes on the "Chief" talk. Low class, and low class in a billiard forum is really the bottom of the barrel.

Poolman - I don't have a Balabushka or a dog in this fight but it is common forum courtesy everywhere to use the search function first. AZB's is better than most.

Here is a very early Balabushka.

Here's the cue Mr. White uses. It happens to be a Balasushka, too! I wear blue stretchy shoes and Kleenex tissues, but I don't have any pics of those.

It's early 60's purchased by my grandfather. Had it authenticated by Pete Tascarella who said it was the nicest original bushka he has seen. That didn't make sense to me as this is an early titlist cue. He meant that most bushkas have been restored while this cue is completely original.

For the record, I don't think the OP committed such a horrible sin. People who want to post will post. Others won't. Hope you like the cue (not the best pics, though). I enjoy it!

First of all Chief you do not know me well enough to talk to me like that , 2nd from your post I gather you thought for a while on that one , Good comeback . Nice , real Nice. It is Ignorance like yourself that ruins forums , If you don't like it move on and do not stop on this thread but no you must stop and spill some of your Ignorance so we can sit back in awe of your limited intelligence .

I am no more important here that you or any other single user.

That said, with the length of time I've enjoyed this forum, I have seen hundreds come and go. I've read countless thousands of posts and feel I've got a good grasp of how this place existed/ exist.

Additionally, I've posted that exact same position- search, read, then comment in the appropriate place- many times, for folks like you and for the hopeful benefit of all users...so no, I didn't think long on it.

Its not a tough place to belong to, the azb pool room. That is one of the cool things about this silly game: all can belong. But not all will belong.

Again, don't sweat it.

Do search, read, then comment in the appropriate place. Likely damn near any topic you come up with has been discussed here already, in some fashion. Maybe you have a new angle though. Put it where it belongs, for the sake of the future

Yeah, there is the search function, and many great pics of original Bushka cues to be seen. But, who knows, someone new might come along, and see this thread, and post a pic of their original Balabushka cue.

And also, if nobody has an original Balabushka cue to show pics of, then why bother replying to this thread at all?

I visited the thread in hopes that some people might post some pics of their Original Balabushka cue, but it does not look like that is ever going to happen, and so silly of me to think that that might happen, right? I am an idiot for even thinking that might happen, right?

Carry on with your jokes now, and have a nice day.

Very beautiful cue. Love it.

Thank you Mr White for taking the time to upload those pic's and may I say that is a Beautiful Cue . You have something to be Proud of and I am sure a lot of Memories to go along. That is what I was looking for and I appreciate it. Secondly I Apologize if I got on anyone nerves , never meant to do that. I just enjoy seeing and reading about them. My Wife gives me a hard time '' How do you sit and read about pool all the time". I guess I got back the Passion I used to have 20 years ago, Pool was part of life here until it faded away, I guess my youth came back for a little bit. Also do not mean anything by calling someone Chief , I do that a lot and do not mean anything by it just habit. Animatedvmaker , I tried and was hoping to see some real gems but that is the way it goes, I know were the search feature is but was trying to create a post that maybe someone would showcase something nobody had seen before, maybe make a thread that all could enjoy, I was tying to contribute , maybe the wrong way but my intentions were good. I know I have posted a few cue thread's but I valued a few opinions here on the forum and believed they know what is what. Just trying to learn. Ok , I am done with this post , we can move on forward from here and next time I will know .

Just something I'v noticed in my time here, I almost always use the search function first, then when I post in an old thread someone generally comments "why you bumping a thread that's from x number of years ago" or "you do realize this thread is from x number of years ago".
The funny thing I'v noticed, sometimes the same person complains about bumping an old thread and also complains about creating new threads on previously discussed topics.

Just can't please some people.

Just like Rick Nelson wrote Garden Party , You can't please everyone so you got to please yourself .

That would be the classic Balabushka design I would like to own. If you could only have one vintage cue, this would be a good choice. My other one would be a classic Szamboti with propeller inlays.

At some point, I think I would like to pick up one of these. Hopefully my wife won't notice the missing the 15K or so from the bank account.

It's usually the same people trying to be forum police.

I ignore them for the most part.

I don't know why they even open the threads if they are so perturbed by them.

Well, really, yes I do. It's to make some sort of wise ass comment.

:lmao: True statement on the bumping stuff.

I'm sure somewhere on the interwebs there's a guidebook but I haven't looked and still put the wrong fork on the wrong side of a plate.

Just seems like most people realize (or should) some questions have been asked and answered over and over. To not search first is just lazy but quite often it bumps a person into other threads or info that is equally or newly interesting to them.

If someone bumps an old thread and says "I found this and are looking for more if anyone has XYZ info"...at least other readers know there's not as good a cheap shot to take.

Forums police themselves, that's for sure!

:outtahere:

These same couple of guys were probably the dorks in high school that gave up their lunch break to be hall monitors.

I don't get it. I thought traffic generatres revenue for the site.

I owned an original Balabushka years ago.

Unfortunately back then no cell phones with cameras to take pictures & i don't have a photo of the cue.

I just have my memories of what the cue looked like.

It was a plain 4 point cue with no inlays

I did quick google search and found one that looks very similar to the cue i had.

I loved the way the cue played and still regret ever getting rid of it. :banghead:
