EARL STRICKLAND Returns to TEAM USA

Vick electrocuted and drown dogs....per court testimony he and 2 others hung three dogs by placing a nylon cord over a 2 X 4 that was nailed to two trees. They also drowned approximately three dogs by putting the dogs' heads in a five gallon bucket of water.

The other guy has manic depression....

I don't care if Vick is purple...he should have suffered worse than the defenseless animals under his care.
Weird this is not really worse than what I do with those dirty sewer rats looking for a home on my back deck when the weather gets cold. Only I snap them heartlessly in a trap jaw and if it misses their vitals it gets more brutal from there.

I guess it's like the difference between abusing gays and bikers in movies. No constituency for some but they are all equally god's creatures. Cockroaches are fair game to torture too last I heard.

Yet only Willard is calling for my prosecution thus far.

I get the impression MD has already matured enough since his departure from mainstream pool. He just doesn’t have the incentive to go back to that life.
I think Mike is more comfortable playing in the Rhode Island Open than he is against the worlds best players. I have never heard of him matching up with any great player.

I assume another way to phrase that is he is interested in having a steady layman’s income, only enters what is convenient for him, and is too far out of the international game to do any real matching up at that level. Something about using the word ‘uncomfortable’ feels like it can imply different meanings where some fit, some don’t, and some may even be a dig at him. If you see what I mean.

If I was the Captain of Team USA! I would really shake things up and try to start fresh with new blood (and some young but experienced players). Let me put together a team of hungry and fearless young players and watch what happens. Okay, we start with Shane and Skyler, that's a given. But then, I think I'll take Josh Roberts, Oscar and maybe Chris Robinson. There are two or three others who are just as good waiting in the wings for their chance as well. I want to create a young and hungry team that jells together as one group dedicated to winning these short little races. It can be done! That's the first thing I would tell them! These guys aren't going to dog it. You just watch what happens when I get done with them. I've brought a lot of good players across the finish line (Keith, Bob Hunter, Danny Medina, Ronnie Allen, Rafael Martinez, Kim D., Tang Hoa, Dennis O., John Schmidt, and others), and I know how to do it.

I think this would be far more exciting then seeing the third or fourth rendition of Earl and whoever has the dubious honor of being his teammate. That is going the wrong way imo.

Give me one year and one year only and I will guarantee that we will bring home the bacon!

Does not matter what Earl's record WAS or what his accomplishments WERE. We all know them. Bottom line is his inclusion in the 2021 Masoconi cup is a slap in the face to up-and-coming players (and there are many of them) and it's no way to build a team. Someone hit the nail on the head when they stated that Earl's inclusion is for entertainment of the European TV audience and demonstrate to them that there is at least one game where Europe can kick the USA butt. Hope his apologists were able to see his play against Grabe in the current International Open, it was a sorry sight to see. Beating no name players means nothing.
Idiot

All these "up and coming" players have one thing in common. Earl can shoot their livers out right now, today.

After they grow up their time too will come. Right now they need to be seen and not heard, just like the kids eating at the card table in the other room on thanksgiving.

Signed:

BOOMER!

I have nothing against Earl, I have defended him on many occations on here. I admire his playing style and abilities and I respect his knowledge of the game.

I still think he's the wrong choice for this team. He's no longer the player he once was and there are others who probably could do better.

Earl is a bad sport, which is probably largely due to his battle with mental illness. There are many bad sports in pool. It's not the end of the world, though it certainly sucks to have them around tournaments. As far as bad sports go, Earl is not even the worst, he's one of the whiniest, though. But Earl does not cheat, as the worst bad sports do and he does actually respect the game, in his own way. Other bad sports cheat and cynically use whining and complaining to get a winning edge and cares only about winning, not the integrity of the game. I think it's very cynical of Matchroom to exploit his problems by putting him in a situation which is sure to make him go off, publicly, as entertainment.

Comparing someone who whines and complains during pool tournaments, to actual real life monsters like Michael Vick shows extreme lack of judgement. There is absolutely no comparison, nor should there ever be. Some people just have no perspective, at all.

MD played Shane in a TAR match....Shane beat him bad.

Vick leased a house from my friend here in LA about 6-8 months ago, I never met him. I have no use for him.

My parents owned a small feed store in the 70’s, they had a customer who fought dogs too. I never saw it, the guy asked my dad for some black powder(gun powder). Zero chance my dad was gonna help him. He knew my dad was into Civil War reenactment stuff.

Lowlife people who should be hung by their sack imo
