Merry Christmas, Dana! Thanks for sharing the poster and the winners list.

No Filipinos?
Disappointing. James Aranas finished third at the last Turning Stone event in January 2020, behind SVB and Alex Kazakis. Still, this is a very strong field.

If memory serves, Jeremy Sossei has finished second twice at Turning Stone, so he's always one to watch at this event.

I BELIEVE this is one of the very few major events (if there is any other) where the 1 and NOT the 9 ball is on the spot. They do use mechanical racks though and you have to break from the box. Please let me know if I am wrong.

All true.

No, that's not correct. The International 9-Ball Open a couple months ago had the 9-ball on the spot, but most of the other major events of late were Matchroom events, all with the 1-ball on the spot -- Mosconi Cup, World Pool Championship, World Pool Masters, World Cup of Pool, Championship League Pool, and U.S. Open 9-Ball.

But you were correct about Turning Stone using a triangle rack (not a template) and a break box (central, 2-diamonds wide).

No Mike Dechaine? I know he kinda retired, but this and DCC are "one of those events" you don't miss.

Mike Zuglan's Turning Stone event always fills up way beforehand. It's because he's an honest broker and all players are treated equally. There's no favoritism for pool's super stars, which sometimes happens at other events. Not on the Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour. Turning Stone is one of my favorite places to visit. I like everything there under one roof. My other half enjoys the table games outside of the pool venue.

Here's a cute shot of Keith and his Backers Committee at the Turning Stone. He rolled the dice and held the table for $10,000. The pit bosses were changing the dice and trying to slow him down, but Keith was on a mission. Everybody was crowding around the table to watch Keith roll the dice. After every roll, there was loud cheering and applause. It was beautiful! Yes, we have fond memories of Turning Stone. Oh, and we got our room comped too.

Isn't there a book in the works? And how's it coming?

Come on up for the last few days, I can only make Sat because of work and I'm an HR away

You know it's going to be a good event when you have a bunch of mid 700s fargo players considered dead money.

The stream is going to be worth every cent!!
