This is interesting…..The old way to shut your cue up was to break it over one’s knee.
The new Z06/7 uses some Hemholz principle to vary the resonance of the intake and coordinate flow with engine efficiency. It has a three valve system that's "fingered" according to engine load. My sticks are all around 50 dollars and don't have that.

I don't see the point. So what if you take away the sound of the tip hitting the cue ball. You're still going to have a lot of noise when the cue ball hits the rack.
The only way to take away the sound is to absorb the energy created. Unless you want to play in outer space, in which case you wouldn't be able to hear anything. Take away those sounds, and the game is less attractive to me. It's like walking into a bowling alley and not hearing the pins getting smashed.
Games like pool and bowling need to be experienced with all of your senses. Sight, sound, and feel. And I would argue even smell... Walk into a bowling alley and you smell that Lane Oil.... it's part of the experience. I stop at the sense of taste. I don't need to taste the billiard balls. I don't lick my trophies either.
