Hunter v Frost, your stance?

Slow morning so I spent more time on this. Looking at where the six ball is and Scott's "generous frame", nobody can see if contact occurred. Assumptions were made. Aside from other considerations, the witness' elevation would make seeing contact impossible. I will stick with my opinion a bad call was made.

However, in reviewing the video over and over I noticed something that appears damning. At just past the thirty second mark Scott seems a little startled by what he feels. His back and shoulders rise while his head stays down, apparently to look at what he felt. After reviewing the video over and over, it seems very likely he felt the six ball.

I still believe a bad call was made later but perhaps Scott's conscious wasn't lily white after getting away with touching the six earlier.

Just speculation of course but Scott's body language appears to tell the story.

Go rewatch the video because you have your timeline wrong. Scott got up and tucked in his shirt long before ever Hunter spoke up.
Yeah
Hunter can't call a foul he couldn't see....and hunter simply told him " you are on the 6 ball"....which implies he hadn't called a foul

I'm not sure what you don't understand here. Touching a ball during your shot constitutes a foul. You don't just get a do-over when you commit a foul -- you give up ball in hand. Wu Jia Qing lost in the finals of the US open a few years ago in a similar situation -- he accidentally touched the 4 ball for a split second when he was getting down to cue his shot. Should he have just been given a mulligan and gotten a chance to run out the rack? Maybe you're just used to only playing in gambling matches, but in professional sports, you don't get a pass for violating the rules.
Bro
Who's to say he touched it. Hunter was behind him. I'm not giving up the table ever when some dude in the audience called the foul.

if you are going to have all balls foul. then the rule should be the ball must visibly move.

This is Frost turning his head and LOOKING directly at Hunter, Hunter was not behind him, Hunter was in the perfect place to see that foul.

The ref is to say. That's literally her job. Stop whining about a call you don't like.
If you knew anything you'd know that ref was told later she made a bad call. That Emily has already admitted "mistakes were made and changes will be implemented ". But keep on acting like you are her big brother....

Like your man hero is going to do anything....and he's out of this the next round

Why don't you figure out how you can bet something on Hunter Lombardo wining anything and bet high. Cuz I'd love to take your money. Guy made $8,400 this year playing pool. He's no worldbeater.
Nah, I am good. They were basically both dead money going into the tournament. Scott might have made it one more round, but that is it.

But just wanted to bring your attention to the fact. I agree that Hunter is dead money in this event, and was unlikely to make it past the next round once he beat Scott....... But Scott would have only won by 1 game.

So, even if Scott "had" beat the dead money guy... He only would have barely gotten there, as it is. Which basically made him dead money, too.

Shirt fouls favor the skinny player

So, to sum this up after copious posts....we can now add to the list of potential game making spots the No Shirt/Attire Foul Spot, whereby one player abides by such infractions and the other is unencumbered should such an incident occur while shooting.

This should probably be ranked just under the Hand Span Spot.
