Fedor Gorst nominated for Mosconi CUP Team USA!

And now that the WPA is bringing down the ban hammer on Europe's best from MR events, looks like the US will be dominating the Mosconi Cup for a few years.

Seeing how Qatar is the home of Hamas i don't see the WPA getting much good press anytime soon. Doesn't look good when one of your 'marquee' events is played in the hometown of a bunch of jackoffs that slaughters innocents at a concert. 'Bad optics' would be a colossal understatement.

obviously i'm a team europe fan but i don't begrudge this, one can really tell that fedor has his heart in america. and there's no doubt he wants to become an american citizen. any interview with the guy makes that very obvious. but what if he doesn't get citizenship?

Emily/MR is the decider (not God or the alphabet soup of govt agencies). Like WWE. Its Emily's product and she makes the rules.
Citizenship requirement can be waived with a wave of her wand. She can tweak the rules to say anyone based in US more than certain number of days can play and Roberto Gomez qualifies. She can ordain and deem that next door neighbors can qualify and voila, Alex and John Morra are coopted

Awesome development. Good for Fedor, good for Team USA, and good for competitiveness of the Mosconi Cup.

I really like Fedor and make no mistake this is a bold and courageous move. He seems like a pretty smart guy too. I just hope he has all of his bases covered on this, as I'm sure the man in charge won't be too fond of this once he catches wind of it. Could be tough on his family :(

Happy he's playing for the US and he's a breath of fresh air in the game. Also have to wonder how much Matchroom influenced this to keep the event from being too lopsided again. But I'll be more interested in watching this year.

He lives here now. Working on being citizen. Bring on 'you-rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr-up'. ;)
