i played 2hrs today and at the end there was a very small blackish smudge on my bridge hand middle finger. nothing to worry about. imo this is a non-issue. i clean it once maybe twice a wk with 91%alc on a paper towel.and there is no indication that the people that reported continued shedding didn't do a thorough cleaning.

Start and end were different occasions though, right?I did....till the alcohol soaked White cotton rag stopped getting dirty.
Some of the cf shaft manufacturers tell you to avoid getting chalk on the shaft as it's an abrasive. Probably easier said than done. Maybe use expensive chalk that's not so messy. My hands are black/blue after just an hour Q.S.
Since chalk is powdered rock, its rubbing may be opening up the CF pores allowing the fibres to reopen.
Not saying it effects play, but it might put less chalk dust on your shaft given that's what you were worried about.Nah, doesn't effect play.
I used to play so much, I had a big callous on top of my middle finger/from my index finger rub.
I purchased a gross of Crest/Predator/less cakey than moist Master Chalk.
$40 for 144/gross. that works.
And who ever invented a Round Chalk cube/miscue. Grab it, miss it, rolls on the table and moves a ball/foul. Or rolls under the table. ugh
Chalk definitely adheres to mine.Does chalk have any affect to CF shafts?
I assume after the black color stops you might see chalk residue on a wiping cloth after use.
That isnt how carbon works. My hands are black/blue after just an hour Q.S.

I posed this before. Why not contact Meguiars and ask their advice. They are a great resource.Chalk definitely adheres to mine.
Why isn't water suggested for cf shafts, anybody know?
Could care less about that dust but thx.

If your hands sweat this will probably be an issue with most cf shafts. Maybe glove time.Got rain X today, treated the shaft.
After an hour of play, hands still blackened.![]()

Why not order a revo from Seyberts, you can chalk it and shoot with it for 30 days. See if it is indeed all cf that reacts to your hands that way.If your hands sweat this will probably be an issue with most cf shafts. Maybe glove time.
