these types of discussions always have to end up with someone identifying with a cat, stuffed animal or light pole. I think it misses the point.

I repeat I have no problems with LGB or this tournament. One member and only one is going around saying I’m a “gay basher”.
On a humorous side note. My daughter bought a home that was occupied by a group of gay guys. I toured it with her when there was an open house.
They had a mural in the basement of several of them emblazoned with their surname.
They called themselves.

Well hell, we should just advertise every tournament as a Gay Tournament. Look at all the discussion, and not even a bracket or any details of the event itself, whatsoever.

Gays don’t use pool tables to play pool they use them for taking pictures and dancing.
In my early 20’s there was a hot coworker I partied with. One night she wanted to party at a gay club. I went with her and her friends but called my buddy to meet me there as backup. All the women went to dance. There was a big crowd that I didn’t want to be in but the place had a bunch of 7 foot tables. My buddy is also a pool player at the time. So we played sets for $5 game just to blend in and not bring attention to ourselves. It’s like being at the pool hall. What could go wrong.
Well, these gay guys dressed in drag came up to us and asked to play. They insisted we played teams. Me with one of them and my buddy with the other. We declined so one of them crawled on the table and posed while the other was taking pictures of the guy on the pool table. They did this while we were in the middle of a game.
I looked over and said to my buddy , “that’s a foul. Can’t crawl on a table ”
He responded, “they should burn the table.” ROFL
We were young pool players then so a pool table was something sacred to us. The game ended right then and there.
I’m going to visit him soon, 3 daughters later. I will ask if he remembers.

Most people don’t care if someone is gay or not. Next thing you know they are offended because we don’t care. I actually think that’s what it is. There’s a reason they keep telling us.
Another gay story. There is a lesbian who plays pool and the nicest person you ever meet. She holds a tournament for the first time and needed help to legitimize it. She asked me to play in it and it was in a bar on a bar table. I don’t go to bars to play either. She knows it.
I put on an exhibition and won it. I promoted the place after but there was no need for me to go back due to competition. We don’t see her often since she was a league player and I’m over there at the 9 footers. Every time I see her we laugh about it.

I get my back up at any minority that wants to be equal, but with special privileges for them!
A couple funny stories. A few boys from the high school liked to go to the gay joint, let queers pick them up, then roll the gays. I just laughed, not interested in participating. I figured those boys would be coming back to school one Monday morning with sore butts!
I was working construction on about a twenty-five man crew. One guy was a big ol' boy, around 6-6 and 275 I would guess. He also made no bones about being queer as a three dollar bill! Two guys about six flat and 160 each kept wanting to mess with him. I told them to leave him alone, gay didn't mean he couldn't fight. After a few weeks he told them, "the only thing I like better than sucking dick is kicking ass!" Might have slowed them down a bit!
I am not real big on heavy PDA, straight, gay, or anywhere in between. Some do it just to annoy people. A friend wrote a song about trashy people and PDA. I didn't even know what the hell PDA stood for until then.
I don't get down to my favorite pool hall very often any more. Walking to the whizzer I noticed a little handwritten sign on the wall. "No sex of any kind in the lounge area!" Hmmm, I am a strictly daytime customer, nights must be getting interesting!
Anybody can do their own thing, I'll do mine, we can all show a little discretion!
