832

I'm surprised more companies haven't approached him for sponsorship of high run attempts!! 'Predator Presents' and all that jazz.
Maybe J made it known he wasn't interested in turning it into a circus, just wanted to run balls. No pressure other than that you put on yourself.
🤷🏻‍♂️
Well, if they were smart, they would announce the youtube stream in advance, keep the live chat going, and let the superchat donations roll in. I think youtube takes a 30-40% cut, but it is still better than nothing.

I still think Siegel's 150-n-out against a guy, Zuglan, who was capable of running 100 himself was more impressive. I'm just not a big exhibition run guy. I know this is off-the-carts crazy but i put way more stock in competition runs. To me Ronnie O's fifteen maximum 147's IN COMPETITION is THE most ridiculous stat in cuesports.
I still kind of like Mosconi's 526. He only had one shot at it on that day or any other day he was shooting an exhibition match. Most of the time if Willie ran 100 or more and the match ended he was satisfied. Someone must have convinced him to keep shooting because I don't think he ever tried it again.

Nothing negative here to such an incredible achievement, but just curious how many in-person witnesses there may have been to this run, start to finish?
I'd be more interested in the equipment he played, pocket size etc.

There will be an official recount coming soon.

That’s the official statement by the officials.

This is serous. I’m not kidding around like I do in many posts. The video will be reviewed and an official release will be made. I don’t know when,

Also he’s gonna try again today. I spoke to Jayson a few minutes ago. I’m happy for him.

Yes, there will be a fine-tooth comb review of the run before it is recorded as the world record. In contrast, when Schmidt broke Mosconi's record, it was mentioned in the NY Times the next day that the world record had fallen, well before the BCA had reviewed or confirmed the run.

Double standard? You bet.
Im not sure how there’s a double standard. Having said that I’m at the doctors office not paying much attention at this moment/

Looking forward to seeing you soon Stu, I’m bringing nice clothes to wear when I see you. Will be fun to get dressed up and have a nice time.

The double standard is that the BCA had no choice but to certify the run once it had been publicly reported by national media. A case can be made that they were just careless back then, but no matter how you slice it, the matter of certification is now a big deal where it was not back then.

Yes, Derby is just eleven days away. We're on for sweating a match and a dinner. I'm at least business casual 365 days a year, so glad to hear you plan to dress tastefully.

See you soon.

It was a GC1 with 760 on it. Only 2 sets of staples in the backer boards on the slates. Idk about the rails. The pockets appeared to me to be normal GC1 pockets.

I’m certain a statement will be forthcoming on the equipment.

Also I could hear other people playing in the background, idk how many rail birds were there/

I saw it all from the 2nd rack until it was finished.

He did have to manufacturer a coupe break balls. He almost got froze to the rack on one break, but didn’t. It goes without saying it was a proper clinic.

OK, amazing run. Now when is he going to play Filler or Gorst on a normal, smaller pocket Diamond? I'd pay to see a 1,000-point game. We need to have an undisputed 14.1 king of the hill!

It’s a exhibition.

That doesn’t diminish it at all.

If I could run balls like that, I’d be up there doing the same thing for the world to see. As would most other pool players, who wouldn’t?

Fatboy<——-at home today running 1262 so far. I’ll report in my high run when I miss later today……
wow, me 2, out of the chute i had a 12, then a 6 only to step on my pee pee and trip with a lowly 2

Yeah, I was more interested in Shaw's moxie / stamina to go for 1000 the day after shooting 832.
Reminiscent of when snowboarder Shaun White, despite already having clinched the gold medal at the Winter Olympics, decided to take his final attempt anyway, hoping to improve on what was already a legendary effort.

One thing that we all know is nobody is going to run 800 on nap cloth. He’s on 760 which is fair play but as we all know it makes life much easier and higher runs are possible for players.

Imo Shaw looks like he’s gonna run the most no matter what cloth he’s on.

I like 760, it’s fun!

The balls definitely open nicely

I get the interest in all of the specifications of the table and conditions- however, nothing should diminish Shaw's accomplishments- it is absolutely astounding that somebody could run 832 balls on any table
