Even if I'm not inclined to watch Heyball, I'm happy for all these great cueists for whom such great prize money is available.
If the number of tournaments and prize funds in Heyball keep growing, I wonder whether:
a) young cueists that once grew up playing snooker and American pool will start gravitating to Heyball
b) some of the most established cueists already playing snooker and American pool will start deemphasizing the game they have always played in favor of developing their skills at Heyball.
c) some cueists will consider moving to China (if that's even possible) to gain access to the best players and to be close to the most important competitions. Once upon a time, Allison Fisher, Karen Corr, Kelly Fisher, Darren Appleton, Jayson Shaw, Mike Immonen and others moved to the United States for a similar reason with respect to American pool.
Let's see how this plays out.
