He will slip up. Be ready to go. You are inline for a Mini cue.I took a shot.
I'll sit down watch my opponent run out.

Thanks for the correction.no. the inlay execution is too rough.
Now that I see it enlarged, there's no way Bill or Dan would let something like that out the door.A lot of you guys have way more hands-on experience with the older Joss (East and West) cues than I do. I'm more familiar with both shops' works from the 90's on. But have you guys ever seen work this rough from either of them? And I'm not talking about the finish. Rough and off center inlays are the things that stick out to me the most.

Hilarious!! Thanks Doc. Good for what ails us!!Enigma.
I dig these mysteries.
Several could be and couldn't be. Matches up with a few makers generally but not perfectly with any.
Clearly we all regognize the design.
The materials are good, execution details are off.
Clearly has some age. Old type finish shrinkage. The joint face on that shaft was treated like a cheap hooker ripped off her pimp.
Somebody "loved" it like Dr. Lecter loved meat.
Clearly Stroud made 18 pin cues, I am surprised it was not more widely known, we have seen them in the forum before. But he didn't make such gross technical errors in execution.
Those dots look like they were put in by Marty Feldman.
Of course, had to put a new handle in it and make sure the points don't line up with the butt sleeve windows.
Horn? Maybe-ish if he was drunk when he made it.
Masker ran out of shaft wood and made up for length with the ferrule? LOL!
Wow.
Enigma.
OK. Someone took a JW, got drunk with a Dremel, decided to put some dots in it. Then they decided they didn't like it and sold it to a banger that couldn't find his hammer and used the shaft joint face to drive some brad nails. They broke the handle, had Barney the cue hack down the road replace it with the points out of line with the butt sleeve. The original wrap was lost and some spare fishing line was put on and single pressed. This all happened in 1978 before it was tossed into the back seat of a Trans Am and left in long term parking at an airport where the sun yellowed and faded everything and trashed the finish.
Funny. It's so cool and so screwed up at the same time.
Has anybody looked at that shaft wood? Holy shit.
I'm starting to think you might want to change your handle to Chopdoc Sherlock!OK. Someone took a JW, got drunk with a Dremel, decided to put some dots in it. too many things look non-joss: the buttsleeve inlay, the cap, the bumper( old joss cues had a screw in bumper) is way off and that longass ferrule. looks like a 'FrankenJoss' copy of some sort. Most likely a cue made after or around the time they split, the 5/16x18 pin is the same style pin used by TAD, RB, Joss, JW, and Schick during the same time period. so the pin does not make it an import, the forearm is looks nothing like any import of the same time period. The MOP dots look to have been added after the fact, could have been done by anybody. my .02
I'd say this is the most likely answer. Probably a pretty nice cue that was "made even better" by someone with a drill press and inlay materials. The last realistic way I know of would be to check for a name under the wrap. I wouldn't personally bother with that. I'd just chuck it up on a display rack and enjoy it for the puzzle that it is.Most likely a cue made after or around the time they split, the 5/16x18 pin is the same style pin used by TAD, RB, Joss, JW, and Schick during the same time period. so the pin does not make it an import, the forearm is looks nothing like any import of the same time period. It somehow got Meucci qualities.too many things look non-joss: the buttsleeve inlay, the cap, the bumper( old joss cues had a screw in bumper) is way off and that longass ferrule. looks like a 'FrankenJoss' copy of some sort.
Bill S. didn't make this cue. Seriously doubt that Dan ever made one this shoddy either. It somehow got Meucci qualities.
Meucci was a big thing.
Cuemakers experiment.
There’s a lot JW too.
From 1500 miles away, it doesn’t look like ivory to me.So, did someone put an ivory butt cap on an import? Have cheap imports ever came in with ivory butt caps? I'm legit asking. I've never seen it. But I'd bet I've not seen way more things on this earth than I have seen. So anything is possible.
Overall, that's a pretty odd cue. And, holy hell, that's ferrule looks long. It's almost like someone doctored up an import cue or something. I don't know. It's a head scratcher for sure.
It’s a fact. From 1500 miles away, it doesn’t look like ivory to me.
Really? It looks like ivory to me. It just has a lot of patina and finish over it. I can see what looks like end grain in the photo below. From 1500 miles away, it doesn’t look like ivory to me.
